GM Challenge

I was toying around with one of the subscriber token sets today when I had an idea: What if there were some kind of monthly challenge, perhaps coinciding with the release of new premium tokens, to create a one-shot adventure around a single token set? Tiles would be free-reign, but tokens restricted to only those in the pack. Then GMs could post game details/videos/session recaps/etc. Personally, I think it could help with on-the-spot GMing experience and expanding the GM's pool of adventure concepts. This, in turn, could benefit the wider community as GMs share ideas and new techniques for adventure-building and utilization of the Roll20 interface (August's pack sure calls for a different style of gaming!) What kind of interest is there for this sort of thing? (I'm reposting this from the Mentor forum at the suggestion of  Emile l.  who had this to say: "If the designers of the tokens were to play and offer for example a free set of the next set of tokens designed, I'm sure they'd love the guaranteed sales, as well as the games!")
+1 to the graphic designers out there lol!

I came up with some other ideas that might make this more interesting. There could be some that were based on a specific theme (underwater, mirror images, etc.) instead of tokens, increasing accessibility for those who don't have a mentor subscription. Additionally, if the devs put some weight behind it, a single campaign from each contest could be made into a free (perhaps listed only temporarily?) module on the marketplace. This second option would require some people to judge, of course, but I think it could be fun!
I think it's a good idea at its core (coordination effort might make it not as appealing), and a good way for the creator to promote their sets (whether it's a token set or tile set or whatever). The creator and the Roll20 team could use the GM winner in their next GM spotlight, and the GM could either get a refund for the set, or their next set from that creator as the prize (along the lines of Emile's suggestion). And yes, I agree there are a number of ways everyone benefits from this sort of event.

Could this idea work as something community-run? Non-Mentor registers to participate (Participant) Mentor (Volunteer) creates a campaign, inviting Participant to the campaign and elevating him or her to GM status Volunteer adds each token/tile from the pack to a "tokens" page in the campaign Participant creates campaign, copying tokens/tiles from the "tokens" page as needed

@Brian: That sounds like a great idea! If a couple mentors volunteered they could set up campaigns and act as judges for the final creation. I'd be willing to put myself down for that, at the very least for a test run.

Dylan, would you be willing to organize the Challenge? I'd be willing to volunteer, but I don't think I have time to organize it.

I think I could put that together. Let me kick around some ideas for the structure and then I'll make a post on the mentor forums asking for volunteers.
