Is there a way to have an invisible token emit a light source?

I'm trying to have the lava on my map emit light a dim light and the best way I thought to do it is to create a bunch of tokens that I can copy and paste, but I don't want to have these tokens cover up the lava on my map.  Brings me to the question in the title, is there a good way to go about doing this?

Sure, just use a transparent gif/png.  You can set the aura to some color so that you can keep track of it, but which your players won't be able to see. Alternatively, you can just put a token on the Dynamic Lighting Layer with a light source set.  The light will be visible, but the token won't.  I have several standard light source tokens setup (torch, campfire, braiser, etc) as characters in my Journal, which I drag in as needed.  On the Token Layer, they provide light and look like what they are.  On the Dynamic Light Layer, they just provide the light, but are easy to manipulate there when I need to.
Light sources in the character journal is a genius idea!  I'll try putting the tokens in the DL layer, thanks!
