Looking for a Friday night Homebrew 5E game

Title says it all, or at least most.  I have at least one, maybe two additional interested parties.  Really prefer a homebrew world with character and story progression that our choices help to unfold along with some combat and such mixed in.

Dang Jendi, that sounds like fun count me in :)  really looking for a game with some good RP.

My campaign is based off of 5e, but has really become a homebrew game. I DM loosely and like to rely more on the fun and story telling than getting nit picky with rules.

Thats cool man but with a new group of players you kinda gotta do the rule thing, add in the house rules later

I keep to the 5e rules, but allow freedom to players based off of creative ideas and problem solving.  Here is the setting: Magic has been at the center of the world for the past 3000 years. The wizards and other magic users were at the heart shaping the worlds and keeping balance between the planes. But… in a blink of an eye the age of technology was thrust upon the world. Magic users quickly became more and more rare as the many races started to stray and forget the old ways. The innate skills that they were once born with have begun to fade leaving a smaller number of magic users around the world. With the rarity of magic users in most cities people have begun to view users of magic as outcasts and some even began to fear them as they have a power that is not seen as often as it was in the past. People tend to fear what they do not understand and this fear has paved the way for a new way to fight and survive. Thus the first guns were created in the world. These new weapons allowed any person to shoot balls of fire at an enemy piercing there flesh with burning iron without the use of magic. Leading the charge in these new ways are the humans whom have forsaken the old ways of the arcane for the most part and are working hard to be the dominant force in the rise of technology. Early on the High Elf’s allied with the humans mainly for political reasons as they are eager to keep their place among the elite races. The races of Dragonborn, tiefling, half orc and most of all the Drow were casted down from the city proper and forced to live in the shadows and the slums of the cities. The city of Neras stood at the center of this new world. Led by Lord Furati Astrum a human male he quickly became one of the most powerful men in this new world that seemed to have been forged overnight.

In fact fairs fair, im happy to do a one shot get to know you adventure so people can gather and get to know each other rather than diving into anything hard core.  Three players and ill kick off.....

Um, dragonborn are outcasts?

Any non-normal race are seen as lesser people in the main capital cities. I've developed 25 different cities a full world and I make all my main NPC's full characters. I'm a little nuts :P

Oh alright then, what if we wanted to play the non-regular races then?

please do, it just adds to the world and the story.

So no personal preference to what races we play?

Nope all races and classes are wide open even homebrew ones. I like to be kept on my toes.

Would be great to setup a game for a few just to chat and make sure personalities and such match

Hey guys, I have been hunting for a group to play 5E with. If you are need of another, Ted's campaign sounded interesting, so I would love to join you guys depending on the time you are looking at. I am from EST, but I generally cant get on until 9 or 10. PM me if you have room for a spare!
