[LFP - 1 or 2 more] D&D 5e - Sundays 6pm CT every week

Our group recently lost a couple players due to scheduling conflicts. We're currently starting on our 5th session and the pc's are level 3. The campaign is a fantasy homebrew setting with a slight wild west/survival theme (think world of warcraft meets outlaw star). Session begins every Sunday at 6:30 PM CT and runs until Game of Thrones Starts (will probably run later when the season ends lol). Setting:  The world of Alestria, one of the most important places in all the multiverse because it was home to the "Grand Leyline", which is a large lake created by the gods at the dawn of creation as the center of all magic. A few thousand years ago, Alestria was united under a High Elven Kingdom and the latest ruling queen was one of the most powerful sorceresses ever before seen. She was obsessed with obtaining power and one terrible night, she invited all the nobles of the land to her palace at the base of the lake. She attempted to tap into the power of the Grand Leyline like no one had ever done before. Her meddling with the Leyline caused a rift to open and a great storm engulfed most of the world. It rained for many years until most of the land was covered in a grand ocean now named "The Great Blue." On the Great Blue, people struggle to get by with the most basic necessities. A ship would bring you work, a sword would help you keep it. A crew's only goal is simple, stay afloat, stay alive. (Bonus points if you know where I stole that quote from, don't spoil it in chat). Our party consists of a very broad range of experiences, none of whom have ever played 5th edition until this campaign so we definitely welcome new players. The party currently consists of a human monk, a halfling warlock, and a dragonborn fighter (edritch knight) and they are sailing with a human ranger on their first ship. We're currently looking for one (maybe two) more players to add to our crew. The campaign tends to be more rp than combat though we still get a good amount of combat in. As a DM my goal is to make sure every one of my players has a "favorite moment" story of their entire RPG history. We're looking for fun and creative players that just want to have a good time. "Rules lawyers" will not enjoy our group <3 If you are interested, please reply to this post and answer the following questions: First Name (Your name): Experience (Both dnd 5e and rpg's in general): Kinds of characters you like to play: Your expectations (What do you want out of the campaign?): Favorite role-playing experience (keep it pg please):  Can you Commit to meeting every week?: Have you ever GM'd before?: If yes, have you ever had to deal with a problem player (describe the problem)? If no, have you ever had to deal with a problem party member (also explain)?:  If we chose you to join the group, what would you like to play? (Class, race, etc.): If we're interested in adding you, I will send you a private message for a quick skype or gchat "interview." This is a great group and I don't want to mess it up by not being careful with our invites XD.

First Name (Your name): Everett Experience (Both dnd 5e and rpg's in general): I've been into table top for several years mostly through long campaigns. I've have only played 5e once. Kinds of characters you like to play: I generally prefer supportive characters who look out for their party members and helping those around them, maybe making extra coin on the side. Your expectations (What do you want out of the campaign?): An adventure with serious choices. I've long grown tired of being in parties who say their good but then go around focusing on killing and looting. Favorite role-playing experience (keep it pg please): There was a game where we chase down a demon to the top of a giant wall peering over an abyss. The demon was carrying a stone that acted as a key to free his god locked in that abyss. After finding out the key couldn't be destroyed unless it touched mortal flesh, the group attempted to grapple it out of the demons hands with the person who managed to grab a hold of it exploding into evaporating goo along with the key. Out of desperation the demon tried to scoop up the goo and hurl itself over the wall into the abyss, but our wizard casted feather fall on it allowing time for the goo to evaporate completely. Feather fall saved the world. Have you ever GM'd before?: Once. It was a star wars game. If yes, have you ever had to deal with a problem player (describe the problem)? If no, have you ever had to deal with a problem party member (also explain)?: I've dealt with party members that keeps doing selfish things that get the entire party in trouble. Like trying to steal from kings while the party was in the middle of convincing them to help or detouring the group into danger on the off chance there was treasure when such actions weren't really a part of the own character's motives. We usually try to keep it character when reprimanding such actions and only once did the group have to decide to boot the player out of the campaign. If we chose you to join the group, what would you like to play? (Class, race, etc.): I like playing supportive roles, but usually I opt to fill out gaps in the party's overall balance.
First Name (Your name):Zach Experience (Both dnd 5e and rpg's in general): I've played 3.5 for about a year and have about 2 and a 1/2 campaigns under my belt in 5e. Kinds of characters you like to play: I tend to play a smart aleck rogue or some form of caster who is chaotic neutral. Your expectations (What do you want out of the campaign?): Fun, some roleplay, some combat, haven't really had a campaign I disliked. Favorite role-playing experience (keep it pg please): Best experience so far was inadvertantly killing an evil warlock by accidently summoning a tornado inside a cave.....(never again was I allowed to play tempest domain cleric) Can you Commit to meeting every week?: Every week except sunday july 3rd due to prior commitments.  Have you ever GM'd before?:I have once but that campaign never made it far due to scheduling issues. If yes, have you ever had to deal with a problem player (describe the problem)? If no, have you ever had to deal with a problem party member (also explain)?:  I have had to deal with someone who continuously tried to fanagle rulings and generally disagreed with me on certain events in my campaign. In the end that player eventually had his character killed off due to bad luck via rolling a 1 on a saving throw to boulder trap (ala indiana jones) and refused to reroll his character. If we chose you to join the group, what would you like to play? (Class, race, etc.): Either a halfling rogue or a tiefling warlock. I'd love to try the rogue though.
First Name (Your name): Ghost will work, since that's what all my friends call me in real life. Experience (Both dnd 5e and rpg's in general): Not much with D&D 5e, but I've been playing RPGs since I was a kid, almost 15 years now. Kinds of characters you like to play: I try to mix it up so I don't repeat myself too much. Your expectations (What do you want out of the campaign?): I'm a big fan of campaigns that have lots of interesting and exotic locations and strong story basis with good, solid character arcs. Favorite role-playing experience (keep it pg please): I've been playing for so long that it's really hard to pick out just one, to be honest... I'm not sure. Can you Commit to meeting every week?: Yup! Have you ever GM'd before?: Many, many times. If yes, have you ever had to deal with a problem player (describe the problem)? If no, have you ever had to deal with a problem party member (also explain)?: Yes, and yes. I can't really explain without it becoming not-PG, but the incident I'm thinking of was one player being very rude, crude, and inappropriate toward other players. The solution is easy though: "Get out." If we chose you to join the group, what would you like to play? (Class, race, etc.): I don't have a specific concept in mind, but I'm leaning toward a caster, probably a Wizard specialized in Illusion, Transmutation or Necromancy.
