Hello! I hope this is the right place to post this.. I really liked Role Playing when I used to (For around 6 years) and when I heard of DnD I thought it could be really fun! but I always get intimidated trying to find groups to play with, since the only thing I've done is make a loose character sheet, which my friend showed me how to do and I still only vaugly understand. If anyone could give me some tips, or I could join their beginning game to be taught first hand, I would really appreciate it!  I'm available pretty much any time right now, so I don't really have any time/day constraints
Hey Chey. My name's Gray and if you'd like a group to play with, I run Pathfinder and love to teach new players. Go ahead and send me a PM if you'd like and I'll share my Skype details. = )
Pathfinder is an off-shoot of DnD by the way.  Also if you are interested in trying out 4th Edition DnD let me know.  We have a large welcoming community that loves to help new players get acclimated to the games.
When my partner was getting into D&D for the first time, I set up a short one on one session for her to help her learn the basics. That might be helpful for you? If you can find someone willing to run one  for you. I could do it if you wanted but it would have to be at least next week or after.
@Gary M Thank you! I found another group earlier yesterday, but I'd be open to joining more then one game!
Elliot C. Thank you too, If i need any tips on how to do some specific things, could i shoot you a message? since i have a game who's already slowly teaching me, but it would help to have more then one teacher (thank you for the offer tho!)
No worries, glad you found somewhere to play. Yeah any questions, shoot them over to me and I'll do my best to answer them.
@Chey: Cool.  If you are interested let me know. I realized reading this today that it might come off as negative to say "PF is a DnD Offshoot".  That isn't meant to be the case, just making the delineation in case you see it made elsewhere.  Its not any worse for being an offshoot and is sometimes called "DnD 3.75".
@gary Sorry for responding so late! what time/day is your game, since I have one on fridays
Its kinda whenever one of the DMs has time.  But the games are built so that you show up to any/all/none of them and thats fine.  Nobody plays in every game. So far this week we have had the following games (note the different time zones): Monday: 7pm EDT Tuesday: 7pm EDT Wednesday: 11am PDT Thursday: Noon PDT Friday: 1PM EDT Our next games are Saturday: 2pm PDT Sunday: 1pm EDT Monday: 7pm EDT
