The Neon Tygers arrive home with one day to spare before the big Conference on forming a new government for the planet Styrigia, luckily in our absent the preparation for the conference was handle by the publicist we hired to help to sale the event to the people of the planet. The crowds camped out in front of our base had left, as rumors spread of our deaths. So we are able to return to our place without and interference. Checking on the arrangement we are informed that the Conference will start with a speech from Alice, who will introduce Rodworth. Since every thing looks okay we get a good day rest before the conference begins. The Day of Conference, Rodworth distribute stunners to the Screachers and assign them to monitoring the various groups that we divided the attendees to. Given instruction to prevent any physical conflicts. Any conflicts that cannot be solved with violent is to be taken to the station gym where the it can be settled. Alice start the conference with her speech, which praise the idea of the conference and she end with an apology for the evils of past rule of Styrigia family. The audience seem a bit overwhelm and it seem as their stock in her rise with her confession of her families acts against the people of planet. Rodworth gains the stage and has the servers hand out drinks, he inform everyone that before he start, that every one should have a good stiff drink as what he about to say will very likely shock them. He begins with a display of the Aliens from Dark system and the story of the Neon Tygers venture to travel the route of the Space man Jones. The crowd is shocked and Rodworth instructs the audience of the danger that the system face, he also inform them of the fact that the Sathars have secret routes into the systems of the frontier. He also informs them that the Sathars has a present in the outer potion of the Dramune system and that the only way that will survive is the formation of a government that unites all the parts of the Styrigia's society. He end his speech with a short question and answer session. Unfortunately most of the questions were silly, one of them is basically a plead for Rodworth to sire offspring due his superior genetics, and another major question was an accusation of the Neon Tygers being double agents of the Sathars, surprisingly it seem that many take Rodworth tales of what the tygers to heart. He then breaks up the audience according to their color code and inform them that he expect them to chose a spoke person that represents their group interest. The conference goes on for two days with little issues, other poisoning of a minor civil servant and the Pirate clans members going around the station, taunting the UPF. Rodworth meet with the clans and tell them of what is at sake, the fact that when the Sathars come, it very likely the hammer will fall on them first. Whether they believe them or not, the talk did appear to calm them down. The last day of the conference ends with each group offering up a Representative, Justin White, is chosen as leader of the freedom fighter, Alex that of Strigia family, a robot for the Crime boss, etc etc. Rodworth ask each group to submit what they want for the planet. Justin ask for equal rights, Corporations an open trade policy, Nobles protection of their properties right, the Pirate clans non interference from the UPF of Strigia internal affairs, Civil Servants of agreements of prior government to be respected. Amazingly these request as noble and just are now the basics of the new planetary's constitution. And all parties actually agree to election of a planetary president by the people in 30 days. Krit'k, the privateer appoarch Robworth to transport him off the station, Balta Sax, dons the holobelt with Krit'K image as Rodworth and Kyle transport Krit'k back to his ship on the Druga. Along the way Krit'k act very nervous and it catches Rodworth and Kyle's attention. When press on what going on, Krit'k pull out a clock and indicates that their a bomb aboard the Druga and that Kyle and Rodworth only chance is get aboard his ship as the Rabbit want them dead. Rodworth strike Krit'k with an electron sword, and even though Krit'k is wearing an antishock implant, the force of Rodworth blow ( A 1on the dice roll) stuns him. Kyle and Rodworth brace themselve to storm Krit'K ship only to find the ship filled with bodies encased in freeze fields. After moving some of the bodies to Druga to make room they attend to override the lock outs but fail. They wake up Krit'ks who refuses to give them the ship code, so Rodworth threaten to take him into the vacuum without a helmet when the escape the two ship. Krit'k is unmoved and when Kyle and Rodworth ejects make no effort to save himself by revealing the code. Shortly afterward a small explosion cause a puncture in the Druga hull, but the damage is fairly minor. Leaving our heroes basically floating in space with a brunch of freeze field bodies, the dead Krit'ks to be rescued by the UPF.
A brunch?

Maybe he was storing them up for snacks? Okay a bunch
+1 log +5 minor goal (moving new government forward) The new total: 279 + 6 = 285 xp Regarding the use of XP for story power, this is really hard to adjudicate because each case is special. Instead, I've decided to take the easy way out and provide simple mechanics control: Use of 10 XP -> reroll, or force an opposing force to reroll OR add/subtract 1 to a roll (after the fact) per XP spent (but not to cause auto-stuns) Even so, I would like to give the players more story control.  However, instead of tying it to XP, I'm going to open it up a little. I'll talk more about this at the game tonight.
