Home game 1 laptop use with Chromecast

I Started a game with my kids Saterday (8,9,10,13) and they where saying I was drawing the map to slowly.  This got me thinking of using roll20 to do the mab but we only have 1 small net book that I can bring into the living room.  Then I rembered that I just got the Chromecast added to the TV.  I played with it a little last night and you know what it works.  You open the Gm screen as one tab and then you open a players screen or log in a second time but tell it to swtich to player view and then you tell chrome to send it to the Chromecast.  Yes I will have to move the playes and switch to the player tab when I have to move the whole map since it it to large to see all at once but they can all see the Tv easly.  This weekends game is when I am going to do it for the first time.
Glad to hear it works so well!  I've been considering picking one of those up for the exact same use. :)

That's the main reason I grabbed the Chromecast too.

do you have to have a specific tv for this to work?
Metroknight said: do you have to have a specific tv for this to work? It just needs to have an HDMI input. 1080P resolution will work the best.

good to hear
Mine is a older tv.  From what I know any HDMI TV will work with chromecast.  And you just need to be on the same network with the laptop and chromecast.
