Is there a way to organize handout/character folders after they are made?

Topic. My NPC folder is getting a bit large, and I was thinking it might be easier to make some sub-folders to organize it better. As far as I can tell, I'd have to delete the page I have, make a new folder, and then re-make the NPC inside the folder. Is there a way I can just move the NPC into a new folder? I feel like it's staring me right in the face, but I'm not seeing it, to my frustration.
You can drag-and-drop Characters and Handouts within your Journal (e.g. to different Folders) to reorganize them. Check out: Reorganizing Journal Items

Too many NPC in your Roll20 game, is a good problem to have. That's impressive GM'ing! On the link from Silvyre, how to move Characters into Folders, how to move Folder into Sub-Folder, and how to move Folders around under your Journals tab! And you can windowshade open or close a folder in there.  Personal tip: Subfolders are useful but I find it's best not to go too many levels deep with the subfolders inside subfolder. Better to make a Top-level Folder structure that accommodates most of your organization scheme.  So I wouldn't folderize World > Town > Characters > PC or NPC.  Instead make PC a top-level, and for NPC things like Town1-NPC is a top folder, Town2-NPC is another top folder. Then windowshade minimize the Towns>NPC folder that you aren't looking at this week.

Also, just a quick note...when you drag and drop the characters/handouts, don't grab the name of the item. That doesn't work. I always have to grab the "icon" for that item on the far left.

Personal tip: Create an index sheet (handout) with all your handouts names then just archive them all. This eliminates the cluttering problem while giving access to the sheets/handouts from just one handout. To create a handout like that, all you have to do is put in the text box the handouts name surrounded with brackets like below: Index of NPCS [npc1] [npc2] [npc3] You can even put them into a table also Index of NPCs [npc1] [npc2] [npc3] [npc4]
