Description field for tokens?

I have some overworld and town maps where I was going to put down some tokens as markers players could click on and read a desciption of. However I didn't realize the only field available is the DM-only notes section. So unless I am either doing something wrong or someone has a work-around this seems like a pretty big omission. I had hoped it would make for a nifty way of tracking where the PC's have been and how the world has changed as they progress, with them even being able to add their own notes to these places.

I like this. I've kinda got the same thing where I have a city map with all the major locations as tokens, but it's only useful as a reference for me, and not for the players, in fact it would be nice for monsters too, or NPCs as they could click on it and then they would be able to read a description of the creature.
