Hello! My name is April, and a friend and I are looking for a game to join. He's almost completely new to roleplaying, and absolutely new to tabletop games. For my own experience, I have been playing in a text-based, roleplay/story heavy Exalted game for two years, and been roleplaying in general for around five years. I have played storyteller systems (Exalted mostly), some of Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, FATE, and a little bit of ACKS. He has played no systems. As for what we are looking for: We are both interested in a text based game. I find myself occasionally anxious when playing voice games, and I fall over my words often, so voice games are pretty much off the table. I already have a game every Thursday night, and am currently attempting to schedule another game (very likely on Saturday, so far), but otherwise am open nights for sessions. He would be available at the same times I am; night times. We both have Discord and Skype, and are fine with (and would prefer) having a voice chat open while playing the game. We would be looking for a preferably story heavy game. Setting is flexible for both of us. Neither of us are particularly interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons (any edition) or Pathfinder. We are looking for a game which will utilize the "fade to black" approach if anything sexual happens. If something makes one or both of us uncomfortable out of character, we will speak up. I personally have boundaries with what I am willing to participate in or play in games, and I do expect those boundaries to be respected. (This is mostly being said because hoo boy. Some of the horror stories I have heard.) As for what we are searching for in a group? Preferably a chill group whose cool with various identities, genders, etc. I say this because I have found that games tend to be more fun that way, and more interesting character-wise.
