[LFP] Giant Guardian Generation, Sundays at 5:00 P.M. PST

Hello all.  I'm starting a new campaign of an rpg called Giant Guardian Generation, a rules-lite system meant to emulate Mecha anime and the Super Robot Wars games.  For those that don't know what either of those things mean, it is a science fiction setting featuring interpersonal relations, aliens being most unkind, and giant robots shooting each other in the face until giant explosions abound.  It is a very narrative and rp focused system (how ic you act actually has an effect on the the system's equivalent of hero points), so if you're looking for more of a quick "drop in, murder everything, drop out" kind of game, you are better served looking elsewhere. I am brand new to gming, so I cannot promise a masterfully crafted campaign.  I'm sorry.  I will do my best to make sure everyone has fun and no one's left out, but if the difficulty/pacing is a bit wonky, well...that's why.  As for my "preferred" style of gming, I'm going to try to keep to the general story I have in mind (at least at first), but I also don't intend to railroad you guys.  If things do go off the rails, I'll do my best to improvise; I want everyone involved to have fun, so I'm not too keen on forcing too much. I have one player already, so I'm looking for two or three other players.  If you're interested, please post in this thread and I'll get back to you.  Games will be held on Sundays at 5:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time.  The first session is planned for either the 12th or the 19th; character creation will happen then (sorry, it's just a bit important to certain game mechanics that the group creates their characters together).  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask; I'll try to answer them as best I can. Thank you very much for giving this a read.  I hope that we will all have fun together.
Hey there, this seems highly interesting. Already looking into the pdf.
Heyo.  Thanks for showing an interest.  If we get one or two more people, we'll be solid for starting this Sunday. Also, some things I forgot to add when I made the initial post: the general tone of the rp is planned to be leaning more towards the more optimistic end of Gundam while still being fairly serious.  It won't be balls-to-the-wall ridiculous, of course, but it won't be complete and utter soul-crushing "humans are bastards and you're a bastard for being human" either.  The current plan is to go for 12 or 13 sessions, and decide whether or not we should continue after those are done.  We'll work out how long a single session should go during the first meet-up so we can work around everyone's schedules. Again, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask; I'll answer them as best I can.  And again, thanks for giving this a chance.
What will we be using communication-wise? Also, I may have a question about frames later.

Wow, that's a super important thing I forgot to mention.  Sorry.  I am honestly fine with people using whatever they felt like.  If you want to go pure text, go ahead.  If you want to do video+voice, that's fine too.  If you want to do some combination of any and all of them, awesome.  It's all good to me as long as we can actually communicate; just use whatever you're most comfortable with. As for the frames thing, alrighty.  Go ahead and ask whenever.  Actually, that leads into something else I should mention: I am going to limit creation slightly (no miracles or anomalies, for instance), but I'll give you guys more starting points to make up for it.  I'm sorry, they just make things a bit too complicated for me to feel comfortable allowing during my first voyage into gm territory, at least at first.
Hey everyone, just a quick update+thing I forgot to mention a while ago.  We still need one or two more players, so if you're interested, please say so!  Also, don't worry about the getting the pdf; it's free to download online since this isn't a licensed thing, but if downloading pdfs just isn't something you want to do, I already have all the necessary game mechanics copied and pasted into the chat as notes.  It's all there, so getting the pdf isn't a requirement by any means.
