Hello all. I'm starting a new campaign of an rpg called Giant Guardian Generation, a rules-lite system meant to emulate Mecha anime and the Super Robot Wars games. For those that don't know what either of those things mean, it is a science fiction setting featuring interpersonal relations, aliens being most unkind, and giant robots shooting each other in the face until giant explosions abound. It is a very narrative and rp focused system (how ic you act actually has an effect on the the system's equivalent of hero points), so if you're looking for more of a quick "drop in, murder everything, drop out" kind of game, you are better served looking elsewhere. I am brand new to gming, so I cannot promise a masterfully crafted campaign. I'm sorry. I will do my best to make sure everyone has fun and no one's left out, but if the difficulty/pacing is a bit wonky, well...that's why. As for my "preferred" style of gming, I'm going to try to keep to the general story I have in mind (at least at first), but I also don't intend to railroad you guys. If things do go off the rails, I'll do my best to improvise; I want everyone involved to have fun, so I'm not too keen on forcing too much. I have one player already, so I'm looking for two or three other players. If you're interested, please post in this thread and I'll get back to you. Games will be held on Sundays at 5:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time. The first session is planned for either the 12th or the 19th; character creation will happen then (sorry, it's just a bit important to certain game mechanics that the group creates their characters together). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask; I'll try to answer them as best I can. Thank you very much for giving this a read. I hope that we will all have fun together.
