Way to have players see the memory of passage in adungeon once they move past it.

Is there a way to have players see the memory of a passage in a dungeon once they move past it. I'd like to make it to where my players can see places they have gone through as like a memory so I can still add different NPCs and monsters as they're going through.
Sounds like Fog of War is what you're looking for. Have it enabled in the beginning, and as they progress through the dungeon you can reveal rooms and corridors, and the group will be able to see where they've been.
As far as droping NPC's and monsters into areas where the party's already been; I find it best to leave npc/monster on the GM layer and move them to token later as they "appear".  That way, and with Fog of War, you can show where the party's been and still have surprises. Monsters move around, after all.

If you're using dynamic lighting, you need to drop "memory tokens". Make a simple token. Could be a breadcrumb, dot, torch, or fully transparent. Give it has sight light 40(radius)/-5(start of dim) "all players see light" controlled by "all players". If it's transparent, give it an aura, assigned so only the GM can see it.
