Initiative for a group of Tokens and the Turn Order Tracker

I ran my first Pathfinder game for a group of friends tonight and it was a blast, but I ran into something I wasn't sure how best to handle. In my offline game I would roll initiative for a group of monsters. For example, each PC would have a place in initiative order as would the group of goblins and the group of giant rats. I wanted to do the same in Roll20, but the issue I ran into is that I had to include a specific token in the turn order. When that token was killed and removed from the table the token is removed from the turn order tracker. Of course I wanted it to represent the entire group, not just the individual token. Any ideas on how to handle this? How do others handle this? Should I have each token have a place in the turn order (which could be alot in some cases). Any thoughts or opinions on this would be apreaciated.

Hello, Joe. You can add Custom Items to the Turn Tracker, which are not associated with any Token. For example GM can enter one called "The Party" into the Turn Order, or "The Monsters". Roll20 Wiki docs for this, https://wiki.roll20.net/Turn_Tracker#Adding_a_Cust...

What you are probably wanting to use is the Custom item on the turn tracker. With this you will have an entry that is not tied to any specific token. If you wanting to have the initiative tied to a specific token, a work around is to put one token in the GM layer and have the initiative tied to it. This allow you to have your initiative but it will also be concealed (invisible) from the players also.

I simply put a token outside the boundary of the visible map and hide it with Fog of War. So if I have a battle map that's 19 X 25 units the Turn Tracker tokens are in the Fog of War in the 6 X 25 margin off to one side of the battle map. You will not accidentally delete the Turn Order tokens this way because they aren't on the battle map at all. I use the Custom Item for the 13th Age Escalation Die and the Ally Dice used for PCs with absent players.
Thanks guys, this is perfect. I even learned about the Round Calculation which is also awesome!
