Audio only?

So this is probably a pretty dumb question but when people post a game that is "audio only" they mean no video of the players themselves at their PC right, not no video of the game map or whatever?
Yes, they just mean no webcams/video.  That vast majority of Roll20 games are "audio only" via Skype/hangouts/discord/etc or built-in WebRT  comm.

That is correct, Noxos, they usually mean that the Players' voices are broadcast but not camera, but the screen of Roll20 is still used (typically including chat-room text, dice roller, character sheets, and graphics such as character portraits or maps). Of course it is possible to use Roll20 for literally VOICE ONLY games where you play with "theater of the mind" and speak among the players without using graphical features of the Roll20 interface, since not every game needs dice, character sheets, or maps.   If the game is going to be literally just-voices then the description would probably explain something like saying "we use only theatre of the mind ".

Ok that's great to hear. I think I could get more immersed if I never see the other players' "real" selves. Can't wait to get back from vacation to jump into some newbie friendly one shots and go from there. I'm seriously pretty damn excited. Why did I take so long to realize I could be playing online p&p without the need for interested friends? Oh well.

There are groups of text only gamers also.
