Do you enjoy D&D 5th Edition? Do you have a penchant for short,
self-contained stories of varying settings and themes? Sci-Fi Space
Opera? Cosmic Horror? High Fantasy? Low Fantasy? If so, then you are exactly what we at Darkstar are looking for! Recently,
we've started a one-shot megagroup with a focus on open, flexible games
of varying time spots, and are (very generally speaking)
non-traditional tales exploring concepts not regularly explored in your
typical game of Dungeons and Dragons. For each adventure, a new
level 6 PC is generated. We are rolling our stats, feats and
multi-classing is both allowed and encouraged. All official Wizard
material is open for use (this includes the PHB, DMG, Unearthed Arcana,
Elemental Evil, ect). Everything is up for reskinning, thus the only
limit to what kind of character you can create is your imagination. NEXT ADVENTURE: AFTER THE FLOOD - PIRATES OF SUNKEN ECHO Forty years. It has been forty years since the greed of Man destroyed this planet. Forty years since a combination of global warming and a rare but usually harmless geological event caused the end of our world. Forty years since the Great Wave came, and swept the remains of civilization away, swallowing up most major land masses across the globe. Those that survived the end did so through determination and, more importantly, luck. They adapted, changing with the new tide, turning the junk of the old world into flotilla cities and ramshackle ships. Those lucky enough to have clung to the tops of mountains or other high places when the Great Wave came crashing down became the new kings of the world. Old titles were meaningless, and what could be farmed was claimed up swiftly. Our collective intelligence fell back by nearly two hundred years, and with no other means of survival, a new Golden Age of Piracy was born. Desperate folk with nothing left to lose found themselves in eachothers company soon enough, and it wasn't long before one or two had the brilliant idea to put together their own ships and raid the newly established lines of trade between the various islands of the Great Sea. It did not help that a strange, violent power had filled the air, echos of the Heat that had started it all. This power imbued those of a darker temperament with the ability to influence the world around them, the air, the land, the sea and the sky. In this new world of grand adventure of the high seas of tomorrow, you take on the roll of a vagabond hireling looking for work. Your profession? The possibilities are endless. You could be a Diver from Hardware Town, using your airtight suit to plunge into the depths and salvage that which lay hidden below, technological relics of the old world brought up to assist those living in the new. Maybe you are a Merchant in Governor Pedro's employ, transporting food and luxuries from his Plantations to the north down through the wealthy Riverlands for sale across the Grand Sea. You could be a privateer of Saint Joe, Lord of Overlook Keep, hunting any that call themselves merchants and military men of the Lighthouse Republic. Perhaps you are an Inquisitor of the New Faith, or a Diesaltown Tinkerer, or maybe you are none of these things, or a bit of all of them. What you are truly does not matter, for regardless of profession, you have caught the eye of a Captain, those legendary beings with enough power, wealth and prestige to own a ship, and one built out of actual lumber grown within the last forty years at that. He invites you all to join him aboard the Faerie's Hammer, for he has a job with a big pay-off and requires a few extra hands in a hurry... **(Characters are level 6, no restrictions on race/class, rolling for stats only)** Post below or message me personally if you'd like to participate this or future Darkstar games!
