Newbie Questions: Terrains And Walls

Hello, hope someone can help with this! Is there a way of assigning"Difficult Terrain" to a square so that it costs extra movement points to enter it? Is there a way to mark a square as "Wall" so that a token cannot enter it? Thanks in advance, James.

The "Difficult Terrain" is something you will just need to note, either in your private notes or with text on the map itself, as there is nothing that can do what you want. The only way that I know of to block a square as no entrance requires the use of the dynamic lighting feature of the pro subscription feature. It is called  restrict movement option.
Thanks for the help!

Sorry I did not have better answers for you. Out of curiousity, what system are you using for these questions?
I've been experimenting with the free account, trying to set up a 5th Edition D&D game; looks like I'll need an account upgrade!

Plus account gives you dynamic lighting but for the other issue, movement cost change, you could ask if there is a way for the api to help you but that is a pro feature and I'm not sure if that could help you.
For walls, you could show some of the wall so the players know there  is a boundary, and then use the "Fog of War" feature to hide anything else from the player. That way, even if they move over there they cannot see anything. And for the rough terrain, I use one of the little status markers on the player character token to denote they are in difficult terrain.

You even use a terrain token and use the status marker on it to show the additional movement cost.
You can put a notation on the GM layer to show you where there are terrain costs. You will see the notation, but your players will not, you will need to inform them something like, "The ground between the two statues slopes up very sharply, movement up the slope will be at half speed."
In the old D&D Miniatures game, difficult terrain was indicated on maps by a triangle icon on a square. I found some transparent icons like this in various colors to drag and drop onto maps. Here's one for example:
