[LFP]Overwatch Campaign -Wednesdays 7pm EST

Yep! I'm looking for three more players for a Cortex Plus(Marvel Heroic) RPG Overwatch campaign. The players will make their own Overwatch operatives using this fantastic and easy to learn system, and together we will explore the new, fresh, lore-rich and promising world of Blizzard's Overwatch. The game will have nothing to do with clones of the same ten heroes fighting over an objective.  Instead, the group will first start out as former members of Overwatch trying to put their talents to use as freelancers and mercenaries. The campaign will take place right before the events of the game, so Overwatch has yet to be recalled.  I'm looking for experienced mature roleplayers.  We will play every Wednesday at 7pm EST to about 12am EST starting the 22nd and will use either Skype or Discord for voice chat. No cameras necessary.  Please post here if you're interested!

Definitely potentially interested in this, though i've never used the Marvel Heroic RPG system before.

It's pretty easy. I just learned how to play it not but a few days ago. It's a narrative dice pool system. You draw from traits/powers/skills/distinctions(like your personality or theme) to form your dice pool, and you either roll against an opponent or the dynamic 'Doom Pool' of the DM. Makes for really great storytelling.

Color me interested. I've not played this particular system, though I have played Firefly/Serenity for a while. As a huge fan of Overwatch, I'd be definitely interested, though I'm more of the type to play purely by text. I can of course use Skype or Discord though my headset is being touchy lately.

I'm new to Cortex but I'd definitely be up for this. It might conflict with my other wednesday game depending how late it runs, but I should be able to finagle it. Is the RP over voice or text? My preference is for the latter.

Overwatch is a great world. Mics cost $8 on amazon -- and you'll never go back to typing. Your wrists will thank you. I assume characters will be Unique Weapon + Ethnicity?

I have  two mics both of high quality. I'm a gamer, so I use voice chat frequently, and buy/use equipment of fairly good quality. For this I prefer text only. I am a writer, and a long-time text-based RP'er. Sometimes, I will write or RP in text-based formats up to 40 hours a week. My wrists and hands are fine. Text is preferred for the fact that we're not all voice actors, nor an we actually become our characters. Therefore, voice does not match, and it becomes discordant in the Theater of the Mind's Eye. Basically, it breaks immersion, even if, in some ways it might be faster or more convenient. That is all.

RP will be over voice, just how I prefer to do things. : ) Edit: honestly you could do OOC things with voice and rp over text that's fine with me 

That's fine. Voice is fine too. Just making a point, and explaining a couple things. That's all.

I dunno, trying to mix players doing RP in text and voice at the same time tends to be a bit finnicky
