Hello Havoc. You are welcome to join my twice-weekly AD&D 2E game, at first as a spectator and meet the Players. Later (possibly soon) creating a PC. Since you're AUS, the timing is not going to be great, it will be the mornings (possibly very early mornings for you). We play on Tuesdays And/Or Thursdays in Afternoon times of USA (approximately 2PM to 7PM Central U.S. times), it's the evening hours of UK and Europe. As long as you're just spectating it wouldn't matter if you come for part of the session, to watch the ending hours. Player ages range from 17-18 up to mid-50's. We have 2 or 3 players who are close to your age, and several players who are older like me (who played AD&D 2nd Edition from the time it was published 1989-1999). No Australians currently in the group (probably largely because of the time), but several nationalities are here. It is a homebrew world setting, that I made the global maps. Tone is high magic, high fantasy, epic adventure, long term heroes, good and neutral forces against terrible evil monsters and elemental benders. We've been playing this campaign steadily on Roll20 for more than a year so far. Adventures derive from a mix of DM homebrews, responding to PC backstory and incorporating PC quest interests, and also a long series of adventures from several published modules. They've already passed through U1, U2, U3, the Sinister Secret Of Saltmarsh sequence, and several other modules. The 5th-7th level party is currently polymorphed into Orcs, so they can infiltrate an Orc City and stop a major invasion plan. I use a fair amount of bells & whistles from Roll20, including sound effects jukebox, Pro special effects graphics, Marketplace maps, macro buttons, 2E Character Sheet, appointing Co-GM's, and fancy API scripts like Color-Emote and Group Initiative roller.
