Tokens and hp

I have taken into habit to save my monsters as character sheets and reuse them when I need to when I encounter a rather inconvinient ... issue. If I use the same character sheet eg goblin warrior on eg 5 tokens and set eg hp as bar 1 on the token if I then add damage to 1 token all tokens with the same character sheet will take damage making it hard to track the damage down for each goblin idividually. Is there a way to dissable this feature so that only 1 of the tokens takes the damage?

you need to make a single entry per orc on the sheet and then on each token have it reference to those entries.
Alternatively, drag the character sheet onto the map to create the token.  Set bar1 to represent HP.  Then, immediately, set bar1 to represent "None" (ie, unlink it from the character sheet). It will retain its previous value, but changing Bar1 on Token1 will not change the HP stored on the character sheet.

The thing is that you can also make a generic macros for those orcs on that sheet.
Here's what I do. Create a token. Set the stats in the bars as needed (HP, etc.) Create a character sheet. Put relevant info in that character sheet. Create any unchanging attributes on the character sheet. Link token to character sheet, but DO NOT link the HP bars. Set token as default token for that character sheet. Whenever you drag and drop that character sheet onto the map, the token will still be linked to the sheet, but the bar won't be. That way when you change the hp on that token, it doesn't change it for all the tokens you've dropped from that sheet. Something like a strength modifier can go onto the sheet. Hit points however, I always set unlinked on the token.

thanks for your answers, I already have a lot of character sheets so making goblin 1 goblin 2 goblin 3, and then finding them in that mess, will be kind of time consuming. I guess I ll just do what david says thanks for the tip
Do they all have the same stats? If so, make a rollable table token instead of making a single character sheet for each goblin. That way you can just change the image of the rollable table token.

yes I try to use a lot of different monsters in the campaign for fun so making a character sheet for each individual monster... can be too troublesome. Unless I need to make an npc the monsters have some standard stats. thanks for the link I ll read it through.
hm never thought of using the deck generator to make random encounters. good idea thanks.
Not deck, rollable tables.
