Questions regarding Mutagens and Beastmorph Alchemist (pathfinder)

I am about to do a campaign in a few days playing as goblin alchemist with the bestmorph archetype. I am fairly concerned about my mutagen usage but I've noticed some odd wording and was wanting some clarification. "An alchemist can only maintain one dose of mutagen at a time—if he brews a second dose, any existing mutagen becomes inert. As with an extract or bomb, a mutagen that is not in an alchemist’s possession becomes inert until an alchemist picks it up again." So this being said, Can I have more than one feral mutagen brewed but have it inert until the other one is used up? Or seeing how it says in possession, could I potentially give it to a teammate and have him hold on to the extra until I use it? I did notice the infuse mutagen discovery but was wondering if that was meant to apply to other types of mutagens due to this wording in it. "This allows an alchemist to create different types of mutagens and keep them handy for emergencies." As a just in case he needs another type and has to switch it up. Now for the second matter I was concerned about with a beastmorph alchemist. I am getting some mixed readings from polymorph rules and beast shape spell. All I really want to know is, can I get other abilities from the animal I choose outside of what the beast shape spell says? Clarification here would be great! Just trying to get things straight before I run this character and I've tried other forums with no responses.

Jon, there is no provision for an inert mutagen becoming functional again (except for becoming inert due to lack of possession) later, so the answer would be no.  If you give one to your teammate and thus make it inert you can get it back later and it will reactivate. However, if you give it to your teammate, and then you make another one, then the one you gave to your teammate is also inert for a different reason and the provision that restores it does not apply to that reason. Im not sure I understand your infuse mutagen question. If you have the infuse mutagen you can create a mutagen that does not become inert (due to making another mutagen). This applies to any type of mutagen you may create if you pay the price (intelligence damage and gp price).  No, you get exactly what the polymorph section and the beast shape spell states you get IF the animal has those abilities. For example: If you choose an animal with "Rake" but you are using Beast Shape II (and not III) you cannot use Rake. When you get Beast Shape III you can use Rake.  Have you tried Paizo's rules forum? There are some pretty active responders there (myself included).  - Gauss
Yes I've tried the Paizo rule forums, just haven't gotten a response yet. In any case thanks for clearing that up. The wording in regards to inert mutagens seems very flexible.

Let me see if I can simplify the rules regarding inert mutagens:  Inert mutagen due to losing possession of the mutagen: regaining possession restores the mutagen. Inert mutagen due to making another mutagen: there is no provision to restore the mutagen.  Infuse Mutagen: mutagens made with the ability Infuse Mutagen do not count against the limit of making another mutagen. You can have one 'normal' mutagen and then one or more Infused Mutagens.  What is the link to the Paizo thread? - Gauss
