***Edited to adhere to forum rules*** Day After The Bomb ----------------- Something terrible has happened. The world we knew is all of smoke and ash. There is a tear in the world and it’s making people go mad. Long ago back before anyone knows or can remember, someone somewhere created has created a new hell on earth. Bullets are in short supply and weapons are something completely different. Most people have cobbled together scrap in order to build guns and weapons to fight the mutts. Oh, what is the Mutts you ask? That would be the s*** hole abominations of mutated humans that walk around devouring anything that doesn’t resemble them. Their grotesque humanoids that often are mixed with animals of some sort, all I know is that stay away from them. Then ya got the f***ing Brotherhood of the Eye. What a bunch of psychos. They are a fanatic cult of lunatics, one of the few that could probably go up again Mutts. They carry books chained to the chest and often use heavy blunt objects to beat the s*** out of you. As they beat you they cry confessions to their god, f*** that. So I’ve got off track. The world is f***ed, plain and simple. You don’t live in this world, you survive and that ain’t saying much. Our most precious commodity isn’t gas or food, it’s bullets. As guns are becoming more scarce people are starting to use sharp or heavy objects to defend themselves. Ever seen a hungry pack of dogs that haven’t eaten in days that circle their prey, f*** all. On top of all that there is the word that of a settlement nicknamed H.O.P.E., don’t ask what it means...I doubt anyone knows. Anyway, it’s a group of people who think they can bring the old world back, glass half full type folks you know. So here we are in this world of s*** and destruction. Rips in space and time, crazy cultist, cannibal mutant abominations and H.O.P.E.. It’s just Another Day After the Bomb . The man stands up from shade covered wrecked car hanging above him as he walks out into the sun. In the distance a dog-like creature is walking briskly towards him, it’s jaw unhinged like a shark. The man lifts his cloak and pulls out a sword that appears to have cogs, belts and even a tank attached. He cranks the sword which takes a few pulls and then bellows black smoke as it revs up. “Time to get to work,” he says before walking towards the creature. ------- I am currently gauging interest in this concept. This would be a little different from the original apocalypse world rules as ammunition is the most valuable currency. Looking for a group that could possibly play twice a month at least, mostly week day nights. I would consider myself a moderately experienced GM with a pretty mean streak when it comes to my characters (think Game of Thrones, Walking Dead). I don't mind killing off character's for the sake of narrative. I'll give you hope, I'll give you adventure and I'll make put you in situations where you come out different than when you went in. If this sounds good or your interested, give me a shout below. Tell me a little bit about your experience with Apocalypse World and give me one more fact about the world I didn't know, can be anything. Be creative.
I'm certainly interested in the campaign, depending on what day of the week it is (the middle of the week is much easier for me to make than the start of end of the week) It's been a long time since I've played straight up Apoc World, but I gm a game based off the system, and I had played in a fairly long term AW game several years ago and I GM'd a fairly short term AW game shortly after Also did you hear about the Rats? bloody scavengers they are, nomadic gearheads that will take apart anything and sell the parts for scraps and bullets. I heard a story that a guy's car broke down, and the Rats swarmed on it and in less than an hour the man had nothing but a drivers seat, axels and wheels. They scavenge, and malestorm have mercy on anyone who gets in their way.
