A question to you all

In all the years I have been gaming something occurs to me, so very few of my PCs really ever reached their 'Goal' so much so I have kind of stopped thinking about an end goal for my characters.  I just kind of go with the flow and then I looked at my games and it occurs to me again that I try to give the players 'successes' and 'victories' but I never really ask the big question. What do you as the player of your character really think is the ultimate goal of that imaginary being you have given life to? So here it is, what do you want?  What do you think is the grand goal?  What is your family shame, do you have an ancient mind-controlling ass-hat hunting down your women through the generations?  Also feel free to give me a story seed you might just be surprised with what happens when I twist what you give me. aka what is your character's 'I could die happy' moment?
Oh and PM me the answers.
