[LFP] Call of Cthulhu for newbies?

So, I'm an avid fan of running horror games. Despite drawing a lot of influence from the Lovecraftian themes in the past, I've never actually gone about running Call of Cthulhu (or Delta Green or any of the other specifically-set-in-the-Lovecraft-mythos games). I've finally got about grabbing a copy of the 7th Edition and given how much I enjoy the aesthetic and quite unique themes of the early 1900's time period, I'm pretty damn interested in running a game of it.  However, seeing as how this is a very old setting, with a long running series of books, I'd feel a bit intimidated in throwing my hat into the Keeper ring and then risk having a dozen veterans of the game peering in at it, realising very quickly it's not something that I've run before. Story is one thing - I've GM'ed dozens of games in the past for years - but a new system, with all new mechanical crunch and things to learn is another. So with that in mind and seldom a lack of players on Roll20 looking for games myself and at least one other confirmed player are looking for newbies to the system who'd be interested in tagging along with this first venture into the weird and insanity-inducing Call of Cthulhu?  I typically run Text Only games here, as I find that people being able to type out speech and action lends itself a lot better to immersion and allowing people to get into the heads of their characters (especially when it comes to such a thing as horror). Though, OOC communication whether via voice or not will, of course, be available should people wish to take advantage of it. I am in the BST (British Summer Time) timezone, however I almost always work during the day - with exceptions that can pop up, but I do usually get advance warning - and thus later into the evening I should be avaliable. The time I am most likely to begin the game will be at some time between 7pm and 9pm BST/GMT and run for around three to four hours. If I receive an overwhelmingly (most likely) American response I may be able to push it later on but we shall see. The only day unavailable will be Friday as I am running another game at that time. So if you're up for it don't be afraid to speak up.
We should cherish people like you who like to play on fridays or the weekend. Count me in if you don't mind a total noob (Although I'm quite familiar with lovecraft weird ass stuff)

I mean, uhhhh, because I'm such a welcoming and open sod for all players!... Yeah.
A 7th edition Call of Cthulhu text game? Sounds great, but unfortunately I'm one of those Americans you mentioned that have a vastly different time zone. What are the odds that this would be run as a play-by-post?
