LF Cleric and Rogue for D&D 3.5 Homebrew setting (GMT+2, Evenings, Mondays&Thursdays)

Next session will be this coming Thursday evening for about 5 hours, next session will be the Monday after that for the same amount of time, so if you are flexible for those two days that would be ideal though we can certainly adjust things and dial it down to Monday or Thursday only. We play on roll20 with Teamspeak for voice communication, webcams in roll20 are purely optional and mics are not. The group currently consists of an elven ranger, a gnome sorcerer and a human fighter. What I need right now is a cleric and a rogue, with the former being played by someone that is able to form their own plans (not necessarily a leadercharacter) and discuss them in game with the group. The new player will have to create goals, motivations, fears and the likes for their character. This is what some would definitely call a harcore roleplaying group with a lot of player character interaction. Expect there to be conflicts. You have been warned. (Emphasis because this has been the reason we keep losing people, really) The game is sandbox-like and - again - character driven, the GM provides the world, npcs (and their motivations/goals/fears) and of course (hopefully) interesting scenarios as well as an overarching plot. The world will usually react somewhat realistically. Again, this game is very interaction-, mystery-, story- and just roleplay-heavy in general which will inevitably make the game feel very slow for the action-loving types, so if you are not into that, don't apply. (And yes, people new to roleplaying or the ruleset are still very much welcome) For a brief description of the setting and more information on houserules and what is expected from the players as well as the GM, go check out the campaign page here: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/9137/two-worlds" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/9137/two-worlds</a> If you have configured your roll20 settings correctly, you should also be able to see our starting time for the next session in your timezone. If you have read all the available information and are interested, send me a pm or post here so we can decide on a good time for an interview via Teamspeak. edit: Not looking for completely goody-two-shoes (not rejecting them either if there is a good reason :) ), the group is already pretty diverse but don't go lower than neutral.
Sounds like it would be fun, as long as it's not arguing about rules 24/7 I'd be interested. I can make a pretty good rogue, and play one. It's sort of my Archetype i've been told. Also what level? And is it roll of point build? Race restrictions? Let me know so i know to work on it or not~
Very interested, but i once i click on the link it brings up a white page and says "Not Authorized"
The group is level 2-3 right now, so you would likely enter as level 3 if you join us on Monday (they are going to level up to 3 on Thursday, so, yeah :) ). Starting Attributes are: 18, 14, 14, 12, 10, 8 - to be distributed as the player pleases and the background and personality allows. Racial bonuses that would take an attribute above 18 gives the player two points to distribute to other attributes instead. (f.e. 16 instead of 14, 14 instead of 12, 10 instead of 8). This is just to create balanced characters imo. Charactersheets are created on mythweavers (d&amp;d 3.5e sheet of course) and linked in the roll20 character sheet. Race restrictions: We had a full on orc before, so, not really but I do modify overpowered races so you don't have the whole +2 to the xp levels and get a bit more in line with other races. On the other hand, humans have a social disadvantage in my world. In general, it might be helpful for you decision to read the House- and other rules topic in the lfg listing of the campaign in order to determine whether this is the campaign for you or not. Other than that, I plan to maybe do an interview session on Friday or something depending on the amount of responses I receive to make sure that people really understand the focus of this campaign and are prepared, so to speak. And fit into the group. Hopefully :) Though not too well ^^

@yohan n.: Damn. It might be that the listing isn't in the list yet because I just created it. -.- I'll paste the description text. The world is pretty much classic fantasy with (hopefully) a few essential differences like my own pantheon - mostly to keep things a bit simpler, really. The characters themselves will be born and briefly start in the modern world of the future. 2013 humanity has started the 3rd world war and almost managed to commit their own genocide - it was then that God revealed himself and led the chosen people to a city (there are rumours about more cities, but there is no communication as far as the general population is aware). Following God's instructions, what is known as the foundation of the Dome was built around the city which grew into a fully fledged version of itself within mere hours. This was 30 years ago. Technology has mostly advanced in the areas of artificial food production and taking care of what precious little living fauna and flora still exist, protected in facilities deep underground. Only the rich and privileged have even seen real food in their lifetime. The characters themselves will be thrown into a different world (the actual fantasy part starts here) and, depending on their individual motivations, try to get back home or stay there (and anything in between). This basically gives especially new players a chance to actually utilise their ignorance of game mechanics, the gods, magic, nature itself and the likes to roleplay their characters - though this doesn't mean I won't accept oldtimers. My GMing preference is heavily on the story, npcs, puzzles and mysteries side of things. Combat will mostly be optional and I reward and prefer roleplaying before dicerolling. I improvise a lot. On the players' side, I need your characters to have motivations of their own and seek out what they want in my world. Infighting/discussions (in-character) are awesome and character-play is a must. If your character would disagree with something, disagree. If your character would do something, do it (or try to, anyway). Don't assume success or failure with anything. Party conflict can absolutely happen and will definitely be played out every time it happens if it happens. The campaign is played on roll20 of course - voicechat on a Teamspeak server, video on roll20 for those that want it. We currently play Mondays with Thursday being optional. We also aim to play for about 5 hours.
Sorry everything of advanced civilization screams "No" to be i'll pass.
According to my information (outside sources, yay) the listing link should work now, as in, the campaign should be listed.

Hmm as interesting as it seems I enjoy the old fashioned roll for stats. Makes things more satisfying when you get the stats you get xD. So i'll pass, but good luck~

Eh, you can use other methods if you so desire - stats aren't that important in-game (well, except for social stats like intelligence, mostly). Of course, this would mean rolling the stats in front of witnesses.
Smells like Chrono trigger. sounds fun. i applied to another group, but if they dont accept me (i thinks they might be full) I could be a rogue/assassin character. (If you still find yourself in need of one...) Might I ask at what time does each session start? (I checked but says at 2pm. Im not sure if its my time or the creator's)
Hehe maybe, though there is less traveling around. Its basically about 5 more or less strangers suddenly finding themselves in the situation of having to work together in a fantasy world. :) If you checked the campaign details page it should show you the starting time in your timezone. I myself am GMT+1 (well +2 atm) so for me the sessions start at 7 pm and end around midnight.
ah, nvm then. im GMT-3 so its 2pm, and I haz university so. derp. &gt;&lt; meep. well good luck with getting your rogue/holyman
*bump* Still looking for applicants. Anyone interested pm me for Teamspeak details so we can have an interview session Friday evening.
