Hi, I'm planning on running a Fate Campaign set in the Present Day, and starting in Boston, Massachusetts. I'm looking for 3-4 Players who are reliable, reasonable, and mature. As this is a Fate Campaign, willingness to RP is a must, as it will be a very RP heavy game. I'm fine with New Players, but be warned, the content will be very mature. First off, here is a general campaign description, and what I will be using to describe the campaign once I post it onto the LFG. Heroin. It's addictive, dangerous, and a major problem across the nation. One of the hardest hit regions in the Heroin Epidemic was New England, especially Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The source of the problem, and thus the blame, is put onto many shoulders. Some blame the pharmaceuticals industry for making Americans reliant on prescription drugs and opioids. Some blame the private prison industry. And many more blame many other things. So, with this epidemic spreading and worsening by the day, the FBI Offices in Boston and Lakeville have decided to step in, working with the DEA, the CIA, and local police forces to start a regional investigation into tearing down the drug ring in the area, and working up to take down the largest heroin ring in the United States. But Federal Agents and Cops stick out like a sore thumb. So, a special Task Force is made under the direction of Special Agent Jeremy Polkivitz to recruit a small team to infiltrate their way into the heroin ring, and work their way up to the top to take it down. With the funding of the Federal Government, as well as many states, behind them, and the intelligence network of the FBI, you have been chosen to be a part of this task force. You're mission is Top Secret, you identities are hidden, and No One knows that you are working with the FBI. Not your Mom, your Wife, or your Dog. Now, what are we waiting for? Let's take down the biggest drug ring this country has ever seen. Now that you have seen the Blurb, I'm going to give you, the Forum Viewers, a sneak peak into the beginning. Here is the opening dialogue of the Campaign Proper*. This might give you a sense of how the campaign is in terms of content/tone. Special Agent Jeremy Polkivitz walks in at exactly 8:00 AM, and shuts the door. He looks down at the 5 People assembled before him. His imposing stature is matched by his gruff, baritone voice. The accent is clearly Bostonian, maybe even Dorchester. "Alright, listen up. The {4 or 5} of you have been recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to lead an inquiry into the massive heroin ring that has moved into New England. Our preliminary efforts and research, has shown that this ring is not from the region, and is likely based out of the Midwest, likely locations being Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado, and Kansas." He looks over at the {3-4} recruits {that's the player characters}. "Now, you have been chosen for very specific reasons, reasons that I will not be sharing, but know that each of you is vital to this operation, and that you must work as a team. But, know this: The Bureau has a very large pool of resources, and higher ups have made this a number one priority. Should any of you betray the Bureau, or seem unfit for the task we can, and WILL replace you within 72 hours. And, to ensure that things run smoothly, as well as give you a direct line of communication, I have assigned Agent Michael Willard to be you handler. Michael? *There will be a one-on-one prologue with each person chosen, and it will be the FBI Interview before they were selected. We will coordinate a time that works for both of us and have a quick 1-2 hour session establishing who you character is, why they were considered, and what their skills are.
