Maybe I'm just blind, but I see a "Premium Assets", "My Library", "Recent Uploads", but no place to upload.

You can upload files by dragging them onto the VTT, that hasn't changed. You can even now bulk upload files by drag and drop. The browse your hard drive for files option will be added later to this interface. Here's a quick gif example:
