The Characters abilities

I have been playing with the new character sheet info and I have some requests. 1. I would like there to be a button for macros you create here. some abilities I want to encode. But I don't really want them on my macro bar as they will not be used often. I still want to use them. 2. more than one column would be nice as well to save space. 3. It would be nice to have a player editable space that only the GM can see. Similar to the character bio. Only shared with the GM. Basically a all player field a GM and player field a GM only field. 4. it would be nice for your avatar to show up where the video is if you are not using video.

The macros you make in your character sheet can be placed into the macro quick bar by clicking on the character sheet and checkmarking the ability. You can add your Avatar to the video area by changing your avatar in your profile. Go to the top right corner of this webpage where it says 'welcome' and click on it. Select 'my account'. Scroll down to 'photo' and place a photo there. The Photo change to the game will be delayed (about 15minutes for me) so be patient. The only drawback to this is that it will remain constant across any games you play. You could change the image before entering a game although I imagine that would become tedious. - Gauss
Please reread what I posted. I know I can add them to my macro bar. I want to be able to use ones I DON"T add to my macro bar because I only want commonly used items to be there. If I put everything on my macro bar it would not be usable. I don't want to change my account avatar to be my character avatar. As I don't want to have to switch it for every game i play.

I apologize if I misunderstood what you posted. I misunderstood where you asked for a button for macros. That is what the macro quick bar is. Where would you like a different set of macro buttons. Regarding your avatar, I can understand if you would like a game specific avatar. I was informing you of how the current avatar system works and how you can make use of it. This is my job :) - Gauss
Well currently in the character sheet you can create a macro. But unless you add it to your macro bar there is no way to access said macro. My character has a lot of abilities and some are not going to be used that often. So when I need the ability it would be nice to pop oven the sheet and click on the ability and have it run the macro. Then close the sheet.
You can do that now. It would be even better if we had a context macro bar that would pop up when you select a token with just that token's macros and to have access to token macros in chat with the # hashtag.

Speaking of this, it would be nice if the current behaviour and issues of Roll20 avatars (user profile pics) could give rise to some implementation of character portraits beyond the current way: they appearing in the character sheets at the Journal. For instance --this is a modified screenshot for showing what I mean: It's just a suggestion, but with this approach, it could be possible to click one of these portraits for opening the corresponding character sheet at the Journal, too. In this way there would be an option for having the character portraits at view all the time --enhancing the focus into your character, adding to role playing--, in the same way people using WebCams have video feeds displayed regardless the Roll20 page selected. As the above screenshot shows, currently I can get a horizontal file of character portraits in Roll20 if my players switch their Roll20 user profile images or "avatars" to suitable portraits of their characters for a given game, but as Gauss is pointing, this is a substandard solution: changing the user profile picture means extra work, requires additional time, interferes with the forums' activity which already is using user profile pictures/avatars . . . Besides, it requires for participants to disable WebCams because this use of profile pictures as character portraits is not --to my understanding-- actually intended nor truly supported by the Roll20 app: since you can't have both, you need to chose WebCam or profile picture.
So i just looked again and it has in fact changed from what it was when I posted this originally. This is what I wanted. Though it toook me a little tinkering to get it all to show up as I wanted. I like what axel said. And there are some video options one could apply where the avatar used the video to make lips move and such.
It also would be helpful to make it more obvious who is speaking.
Would it be possible to have the macrobar wrap?
Donald W. said, This is what I wanted. Nice. Donald W. said, there are some video options one could apply where the avatar used the video to make lips move and such. But the way I see it, since you need custom made portraits, adding an animation for the lips would be beyond the usual customization level asked by most programs to their users. It would be necessary to create additional frames of each portrait for arranging a lips animation. My intention with this portraits suggestion is mainly having a visual reference for the characters while using Roll20 regardless of the active page/canvas/image/map, and maybe a shortcut to the character sheet at the Journal tab. Donald W. said, It also would be helpful to make it more obvious who is speaking. I remember Google+ Hangouts does this by means of displaying a green line under the video feed of the talking users, which disappears when they are quiet. Speaking of these portraits, maybe something like this could be handled easily by means of actively highlighting the silhouette of the portrait image for the player that is talking via WebCam or typing in the Text Chat box, maybe with the color chosen for their dice (in the above screenshot: red, green, blue, violet). Another approach could be just to highlight the coloured square inside each portrait.
