Turn order not accepting cards

I'm experiencing three bugs regarding turn order and cards- The first is when I drag a card from the table to the numbers in turn order it correctly highlights in a yellow box the token in question, but when I let go, nothing happens No matter what I try cards cannot be added to the turn order. The second bug is that roll20 will not remember that I want turn order determined by card. Every round initiative changes in savage worlds and this means clicking the blue gear and selecting sort by card every time. Honestly it shouldn't even need asking. The moment a card symbol such as ♠ are added to the turn order it should automatically know to sort by card. As it is turn order with card symbols in descending turn order bugs out and randomly displays cards as it doesn't know how to sort them. The third is that the default card deck when dealing to the turn order doesn't display dealt cards. If you hit recall it doesn't count them and claims it still has a full deck when it clearly does not. Furthermore hitting recall doesn't clearly bring the cards back. They are still displayed in the turn order listing.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the site. Could you please carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
Just tested it on firefox and chrome and disabled extensions. I can conferm that these errors are still persistent. To be clear, dragging a card from the top of the deck to the turn order box works, its dragging a card from the playing table that does not.

https://youtu.be/8dHDfaYES5Y I created a video showing my issues. It would also be nice to have a HOLD option for turn order. In some role playing games you can choose to instead of taking your turn go on hold so you can later interrupt someone elses action or go later. A way to mark a character who's gone on hold would be great. Maybe a little Lock button you can click that holds them at the top of the turn order list.

Just for the sake of completeness, could you please clear your cache? You might be surprised how many issues that step fixes :) And then, finally, could you give us a console log , starting from when you first enter the game table and ending after you've: A) dragged a card from the top of the deck B) dragged a card from the playing table C) attempt to sort the initiative table in the order you wish, and D) attempt to recall the cards. We need the console log to see what's going on 'behind the scenes'.

Actually, being a Savage Worlds player as well, those issues aren't issues, unfortunately. Kind of how it works. Once the card is played to the desktop it becomes an image and/or a token and no longer a card. I agree with everything you've said, Jonathan D., but unfortunately this is something for the Suggestions forum. There are a few suggestions on ways to improve the Card Deck features already, may want to throw a vote that way and offer your suggestions in one of those threads. However, if you can afford it, I'd recommend going Pro, because there is an API that I use (created by someone else) that is pure awesome for Savage Worlds (even accounts for initiative altering Edges). It would solve practically all your issues. I do realize that not everyone can go Pro, though.

@GenKitty - I cleared my cache before in firefox to compare, sorry I did not mention it. Here is a console log. http://pastebin.com/gBYbdDs1 @Finderski Thank you for the information. Its always great to hear from another savage worlds player. That's too bad that these aren't bugs but features lacking in roll20. I've posted the video over in suggestions form. Pro sounds great but at the moment I can't afford it. This tuesday is actually going to be my first time running a game in roll20 and I'm still figuring things out. Savage worlds is my favorite system and years ago I had looked into running such a game online with long distance friends and decided roll20 lacked the features I wanted but coming back now things have improved so much I'm hopeful I'll have a good experience .

Finderski is correct it that this is just the way it was designed on it's first implementation and hasn't really been polished much since. I do agree that process could use some love. Unfortunately the only popular system that uses that mechanic is Savage Worlds and so hasn't been high in our priority list since these issues affect only one system. However, as a lover and player of both classic and SW Deadlands I feel your pain. It's something we'll need to revisit to improve the card system's interaction with the initiative tracker.
