Hey everyone! Ok, so a few months ago I shared a video of my Roll20 Monster Manual system, and I received a great response from people on it (currently is the #1 result on youtube if you just search "roll20"). I was overwhelmed by all of the positive feedback and knew I wanted to create more tutorial videos. But I felt (and still do) that there are a lot of great videos in place already to teach people the basics of using Roll20.  Thus, the Master Series was born.  In short, this tutorial series is aimed at people already  using Roll20, that want to really master the system and creatively push the boundaries of what it can do. So first up is a NEW 5eSRD Monster Manual System that a metric TON of people asked for. And guys, it's a great system, being compatible with the 5e Compendium.  So here is the first video to the series, with more coming this week and over the next several weeks on all kinds of topics. I hope you enjoy! Roll20 Master Series - How to create a Monster Manual (5eSRD)  PS. The rest of the series is system agnostic. So if you are playing Pathfinder, 13th Age, Star Wars, etc... don't fret, you will be able to use the things I'll be sharing also! Meanwhile you can check out the original video I did. The macros are in 5e, but the techniques in this video work best for other systems. Roll20 Tutorial: Setting up your Monster Manual - D&D  EDIT: I have released a few more videos in the series now, and wanted to share them but didn't want to create a ton of new posts. Here is the list so far. If you guys enjoy them, I love hearing from you! Roll20 Master Series - How to create a Monster Manual (5eSRD) Roll20 Master Series - How to Create DM Map Markers for FREE Roll20 Master Series - 3 Easy to Use Whisper Macros Roll20 Master Series - How to Link Handouts, Creating a PHB & More! Roll20 Master Series - Linking Handouts in CHAT & Creating Cheat Sheets Roll20 Master Series - How to Stack Macros (Nesting Macros) Roll20 Master Series - Rollable Tables 101
I love your energy in this.

Thanks Ed! I have a video I am working on now that is absolutely a technique I stole from you! Specifically your XP calc formatting (not the calculator itself however). lol
If you need any more macros I have some old saved forum posts that have some good stuff. Most of it is for the 5e Community sheet, but a lot of stuff is universal like that xp macro, just the template is different.

Some people made a comment that the audio was a bit low, so I have completely re-uploaded the video after some fixes. (I have fixed the link so that the above should now direct you to the new video).

Cody, this might be off topics, but I'm curious, what do you have in the Players Handbook, Monster Manual, and DM Guide handouts? That seems incredibly useful to have those available in game.

Ha! I guess you'll have to wait and see..... Seriously though, I plan on covering those in this series. Last night I posted a new video, and the PHB video is coming maybe this weekend or so.

Thank you for the kind words! I have added a few more videos and now edited the OP to just link them all in one place instead of creating multiple threads.

(Don't know how to do emojiis, but just pretend I included one here that would reflect my light-hearted tone).
There's a lot of great stuff in some old posts, I would suggest taking some time and looking through this one here it links to the other two posts in the series, so look through all three. Also, I have this one saved for reference here . Those all reference older sheets, but most of it can be adapted. Here is some advanced dynamic lighting tricks. This here is one of the coolest things I have ever seen, even if I am not using it. For hacking the OGL sheet there is a breakdown of some of the roll template parts in this post here . Sadly it's closed so I couldn't add to it more, but there is a another template, the one for the PC spells that looks pretty sharp. ex: @{CHARNAME|wtype}&{template:spell} {{level=evocation 0}} {{name=Light}} {{castingtime=1 action}} {{range=Touch}} {{target=}} {{v=1}} {{m=1}} {{material=A firefly or phosphorescent moss}} {{duration=1 hour}} {{description=You touch one object that is no larger than 10 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, the object sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. The light can be colored as you like. Completely covering the object with something opaque blocks the light. The spell ends if you cast it again or dismiss it as an action. If you target an object held or worn by a hostile creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw to avoid the spell.}} {{athigherlevels=}} @{CHARNAME|charname_output}

Video 7 has been added. This is a short, easy guide to Rollable Tables. Thanks! Cody
I'm sorry if I'm being stupid here, but assuming I create a monster manual as a folder within the journal tab, how do I transfer it when I want it for a new campaign. Thanks

Duplicate your campaign Use the Character Vault (Plus sub) Use the Transmorgrifier (Pro sub)
Cody, you are an inspiration and I've really enjoyed your videos. How do you bring over the macros when you copy/duplicate a campaign?
Thank you. Finally, can you assist me with a couple of generic macros for monsters if they exist. The first is a damage roll. I can do the weapon but have to individually input the damage. Secondly, I can't find the one for your excellent looking DR/Immunities. Thank you
