With the new update allowing arrow keys for movement of tokens, I'm very excited to have my players be able to "control" their tokens, and not just click and drag them if they choose. That being said though, there isn't a way I know of for characters to ping the map with just the keyboard, and there is no way at all for a character to use ping to pull the focus to a spot on the map. Of course the restrictions for characters pulling the camera currently make sense as they are, and before the arrow key to move option was available, there was no need for it at all. But now that we have this feature, it feels awkward to move a token with keys, then adjust camera, then move more and repeat as needed. This could be fixed with two things. 1. Keyboard controlled ping to selected token, with shift pulling attention to that token. For DMs it would work as it does with the mouse now, overriding player camera control. For players, it would only change their perspective, and easily allow them to navigate a corridor without ever touching their mouse if so desired. 2. A way to toggle constant focus on the selected token. This way, the camera could shift as they player moves out of sight of the screen. To avoid constant map adjustment, where it appears that your token is stationary, and the tile beneath just moves around it, have a buffer of maybe 25 ft from the edge.
