D&D 3.5 Survival Horror game turned Time Based Detective, Looking for Players.

GAME TIME IS SATURDAY AT 7pm MTN Time. Storyline : It has been 18 years since the plague to the east has claimed the Kingdom of Celtis and the mountains were raised from the earth to protect the rest of the world. Since then there has been rumors about what is really going on, on the other side of the mountains. Some people talk about unspeakable evils, others of vast treasures of a fallen kingdom. Now the rumors have changed. They speak of the Children of the Disciples, those who erected the mountains, travelling from the east, asking for aid and assistance in their quest to destroy the evil that plagues their lands. Are you brave enough to help them? To force your way into legends and stories like the Disciples did? Only time will tell, and it is quickly running out. Information: This is a roleplay heavy game. While it started as a horror based survival game, the players have moved it into a time based detective game, where they need to figure out what is going on, and they know time is running out. This game is highly detailed, which a storyline going back for generations and legends. IF YOU are not into Heavy roleplay and only want combat, this game isn't for you. Character Level is currently 2, +1 LA's are currenty allowed but need to be requested. Point Buy for stats of 32+1d12, I must see the dice rolled. Classes are from Complete series (NO PSIONICS), PHB 1 and 2, and Book of Horrors. I can might consider any other books, but it must be discussed first. We are currently in need of a Tank, and a Spellcaster, with a third slot open for whatever.

Will you allow an averaged point buy instead of rolling? And don't you think a 44 point buy is a bit to powerful?

Zerco, The party has almost died 3 times during normal adventures (Ones not designed to possibly kill them, just challenge them). They themselves will tell you it is all balanced out. And no I won't do average, it must be rolled.

Hi everyone, I'm one of the player's in this group if you would like to know from a player's viewpoint.

I am quite interested I have a question or two the first being what would you say the combat to roleplay ratio is or is it common to go hours w/o combat. And what do you use to talk (skype, txt, roll20 chat)?

it all depends on what we do that day. There are days that we have heavy combat (meaning at least one encounter every 15 minutes or less) and there are days that it takes awhile, a couple hours, for us to lead up to the combat. But we have at least one combat encounter per campaign play. And we use Skype to talk, with roll20 for rolls and map use.

We use Skype chat. And it depends on the game. I always try to put combat into the games, but how long it takes to get their depends on the characters.

One more question about the la +1 being allowed did you mean you can use a la+1 for free and still be lvl 2 or have a la+1 and be lvl 1 for elc of 2?

So the system is 3.5 and the classes are from complete series with "no psionics", PHB 1-2, and Book of Horrors. with a point buy system of 32+1d12, if every thing is correct and understood I am more then willing to work with this. I am thinking either a Monk or Cleric; though if you may say what are the other players classes? As-races; either a human or dwarf.

we currently have a halfling scout, and a half-elf druid. Both a monk or a cleric would be welcome I am sure. And yes, everything you said is true.

We use skype for voice chat. And once my DM, Jason, talks to you, you should be able to roll the d12. It is preferred to have your character sheet on myth-weavers. I am trying to let my DM know about your interest now, but skype seems to be working against me.
