The lands of Nurheim languish under bonds of unending ice as gods, giants and dragons wage a brutal war on two planes. Men wander and fight in quests for glory that will earn them a seat at Valhalla's feast. They've forged strong ties with their allies the dwarves and aid them in their struggle for vengeance against the giants who once enslaved them. The Frost elves see their numbers continue to dwindle as their once great empire has been reduced to rubble by the conquering armies of man and the undying hatred of raiding dragons. Legends tell of heroes who will bring an end to these struggles and the people cry out in anguish as they beseech the gods for aid, but first they must find a way to survive....... the snows of Nurheim. =============================================================================================================================             That is the opening premise of the new campaign I'm working on right now.  The setting is heavily Norse-influenced, but there are a few twists that I won't disclose just yet. What I'm looking for are 4 individuals who would like to have some input in the creation stage of this world. Not major additions necessarily, but a bit of flavor they'd like to encounter down the road as the campaign grows. This will be a fairly dark fantasy setting, medium to low magic with most likely a 55-45% split on role-playing to combat. At the moment, I'm not sure whether this will be a PF or 5e game. That will most likely be decided by you, the players, as you're accepted. If that interests you, please read on.          Here's what I'm looking for from applicants: * Willingness to cooperate with party members. If you're the sort of player who likes to play unusual race and class combinations to make the most out of loopholes in the rules, this isn't the game for you. If you read the campaign rules and message me asking to play something something explicitly named as banned I'll boot you. I've had far too many instances of that occur in the past that have ended badly. Thinking the rules apply to everyone but you won't fly here. * Players who want to be a part of something long term. If you've ever wanted to be a part of the campaign world you play in, even if it's as a descendant of someone who played a major or minor role in historical events - this is for you. * Players who are more concerned with the adventure they're currently on than arguing rules in the middle of a session. Of course, if it's a serious issue, the problem can be taken up after the session and worked out to everyone's satisfaction before the next game. * Ability to make sessions at 7 pm EST on Saturday evenings. * Players who can follow instructions ---- here's your chance to prove it              If you are interested in taking part in this project, please PM me(DO NOT POST HERE) with any questions and ideas you may have about your character or the setting. Give me a bit of background about your interests and experience as a gamer. How to contact you on Skype would also be welcome. I hope that this appeals to you and I'll hear from you soon. Thank you for your time.
