Large Icons making trouble for me.

As seen above, my icons are huge and causing me problems. I don't think this is something to put in the bug forums because I think this is part of my interface or roll20. Please help if you know why this is happening. The map I am using is 80 x 40. On a 40 x 40 map the icons are normal so it would seem that the map size is causing it but idk why. Open to suggestions. ---Ryeaa----

Hi Ryeaa. It appears that your tokens are small, which might mean you are using a fraction for your Grid Unit setting. Right now the way it works, the token-attached features like bars, nameplates and status icons do not scale-down when a token is made smaller than 1 regular full-size unit. On your Page Settings, check under the Grid and see if you have a fraction (such as .5) set for the Unit size. If you make your Page with Unit Size "1" and then drag-or-place tokens, it should look like the normal expected way again. https://wiki.roll20.net/Page_Settings#Scale

Thanks Gold for the response. It appears that is my problem. It is set to .5. If I put it to 1 it does make them smaller in comparison to the tokens but now my map is out of scale. I guess that means I will just have to deal with it. ---Ryeaa---

Yes, sorry Ryeaa, I don't know another workaround or fix for your current page other than re-doing it, or just expanding everything (the grid to "1" and then expanding each Token that's on the page). If it's a huge task due to a large number of tokens, as a Pro subscriber you could ask about an API script to save time with resizing all the tokens up. The community-created Token-Mod API can do that. Map scale should be repairable but it probably means stretching your background map graphic.

You should just be able to double the units height and width of the page as that should be equivalent map to token size ratio to what you had before

Scott C. said: You should just be able to double the units height and width of the page as that should be equivalent map to token size ratio to what you had before That would probably fix Ruler/Scale but Tokens would still be the same issue with status icons, unless you then expanded the Tokens to 4x4 units instead of 1x1. Also any new graphics dropped onto Token Layer, and any Characters dragged-and-dropped onto the grid, would still get the same issue.
I just doubled my map size then made the map bigger and then resized all the dynamic lighting (ugh!) then resized the tokens and placed them back where they were thanks to a handy screen shot. Now I know for later not to use .5 as a ratio. On an added note. Will this happen if I was to use 1.5 or 2.5 or anything other then a whole number? ---Ryeaa---

Numbers that are higher than 1 will have a different effect, seeming to miniaturize the status icons, while making the Bars extra long.) The good news is you can change the Scale setting (1 Unit = ____ ) to anything that you want. You can change the Page Size (number of Units) to a wide range of sizes. Using those 2 settings, but leaving the Grid enabled to 1 Unit, you can make maps of almost any scale.
