Fifteen years have passed since the Ork Hordes under Warboss Azhgal Skulcrusha invaded the Imperial Y-Class world of Charcadia, and the soldiers of the Emperor have fought the Orks to a bloody, unending stalemate. Every day thousands of Orks are massacred by the weapons in the Imperial arsenal, yet tens of thousands rise to take their place, and large-scale Imperial assaults against the entrenched Greenskins have resulted only in failure and the loss of ground, though the Orks face the same futility in their actions as well. Near the city of Greydawn in the planet's southern hemisphere, the civilians there had up until recently seen little of the unending conflict that plagued the planet's northern territories, walls and emplaced guns keeping them feeling protected and safe. That is, until one day, when airborne Orks began pouring into the city, accompanied by a hitherto unknown Ork horde that assaulted the city's outer perimeter. Imperial Guard forces were immediately dispatched to the city, and have encircled it as intense urban warfare commences within. The situation grew dire when, only a week ago, Imperial communications personnel received a distress signal from the planetary governor, stating his palatial estate had been breached and that many planetary officials were in grave danger. No further contact could be established with him. This was relayed to High Admiral Daruborn, overseer of Imperial operations on Carchadia, whom responded by dispatching a team of Veteran Imperial Guardsmen deep into the city's center. Their mission: to locate the planetary governor and extract him, along with as many political officials as they can find, all the while navigating an urban hellscape teeming with bloodthirsty Orks and caught in the crossfire of burning Imperial Guard lasers. (Only War campaign on a homebrewed Imperial world. Basic knowledge of both the 40k RPG System AND Warhammer 40,000 Lore are required. In-game voice chat will be used for communication. At least 3 sessions are planned.)
