Unable to Drag Characters from the Journal tab to BattleMap

Hi, I create characters in the Journal Tab and then attempt to drag and drop the charter onto the Battle Map so it can be used as a Token and it just gets stuck as a loading prompt that does not progress. I have experimented with low res images and very few abilities as well as fully stocked and created characters with no success. Attached are two screen shots. One with my PC specs and the other with the loading prompt I was referring to. Thank you.
They don't work that way.

If I understand you correctly, you are dragging the image from a character sheet in the Journal Tab to the table? Unless I am mistaken it is not designed for that. You can drag an image from your computer files or from the art library to the table but not from the character sheet. However, I will inform the Devs that this is occurring just to be sure. - Gauss
I don't think it does work the way Tallow describes. But! It's how I thought it would work when I was first experimenting, too. In fact, if I could assign a token to the character from the character sheet, and then just drag and drop an instance of that character's token onto any map--and updating one instance of the character's stats (from the token) updated in every instance of that character's token -- that would be super helpful.
Ahh I see I was doing it wrong then. My mistake. I was assuming i could make a character then drag it from the tab onto the battle map. Sorry I am new to Roll 20 and misunderstood the process. Thank you for your time. -Tallow
We are hoping [wink wink devs] that token are in some way associated with the characters in journals. Hehe
Tallow G., It's just that the image at the character sheet is a portrait and not a map token :) Admittedly, the character sheet could have an additional (and optional, and smaller) slot for designating a corresponding token for the map — if you are using one.
I think the picture should directly relate to the token. ie drag the picture and get a token.
Eugene N., That would be your choice as user. In any case, what happens when you are using a portrait for your character, and its token for maps is a different image --like a top-down one? EpicTable handles it in this way: I prefer how Roll20 shows the portraits in greater size, though. A "token slot" could be smaller, since its purpose is to drag & drop it into the Roll20 canvas.

EDIT: Since the lack of the ability itself isn't a bug, I'd recommend continuing this discussion about this feature change in its own suggestion thread. Fairly certain there's a thread for this already. As for Roll20 glitching when a user attempts to drag the item, we'll file a report to prevent anyone else from getting stuck while doing that.
