Promoting a Map Assistant

I'd like to let another player help me build maps. To give you a use-case scenario, we've got a multi-level ship the players use as a base and they're about to upgrade it. I've got a lot to do already and wanted to let him dress up some of the levels with scene items. What's the best way to do this? I see that I can promote him to GM, though if I do that I assume he'll be able to see all my GM maps, notes, handouts, etc. That's not necessarily a problem since I can ask him to steer clear of everything besides the ship. It'd be nicer if I had a way to give him permissions to the map layer on a map I've already made, though. Can I do this? Also, I'd like him to be able to access the tokens and tile sets I've bought, plus the stuff I've put in my library. Is that even possible?

Hi John. The first method is what you found, promote the Player to Co-GM. Wiki Docs for this, https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Management#Players However since you are a Pro Subscriber of Roll20, there is another method. As GM you can either Start New Game, or Copy your existing game, and then promote the Player to Co-GM in the copy, or in the fresh game. Let the Co-GM make the map there. Then as GM/Creator and Pro Subscriber, you can use Transmogrify to import the Page/Map that they made, back into your regular campaign to play. Wiki docs for this, https://wiki.roll20.net/Transmogrifier Regarding the Tokens and Tiles that you bought, the Co-GM cannot access your Art Library (it is tied to the account holder). However as the GM you can drop your art assets onto the tabletop, on a page, and then your Co-GM can manipulate those assets (resize, rotate, position, etc). With this you can give your Co-GM map-maker a page with art assets to arrange into a map.
That's a good idea to make a game copy and promote him there, that way he won't accidentally spoil anything fun. I think I will also post the suggestion about granting rights to map layer for a particular map. Thank you for your thorough reply!

You could also make a character for each of the scenery items that he's going to have access to and then give him control of them. He can drag and drop their default tokens onto the token layer and then you can just go in and do a mass move to the map layer once they are all done.
