Hello fellow adventurers, my name is Sencho and I am planning to run a Dungeon World campaign. Before we get into the formalities of organizing this thing, I would like to give you a little summary of what Dungeon World is about and what kind of play you get out of it. Here is the introduction text of the rule book: "Dungeon World is a world of fantastic adventure. A world of magic, gods and demons, of good and evil, law and chaos. Brave heroes adventure into the most dangerous corners of the land in search of gold and glory. Adventurers take many shapes in Dungeon World. The races of elves, men, dwarves, and halflings all have their heroes. Some are near-invincible beasts of battle encased in iron armor. Others are more mysterious, conjuring up and wielding the mighty forces of magic. Treasure and glory are sought by a holy cleric, a tricky thief, a mighty paladin, and more. It isn’t all easy heroics and noble bravery, though. Every time the ranger guides his friends through the ancient woods there are a hundred things waiting to bite his head off. Slavering hordes of goblin troops, maybe. Or is this the Cursed Wood, where dwells the Gray Witch? Or the throngs of hateful dead, looking to drag a meaty corpse back to their lair? Scary, sure, but there’s treasure, too. More gold and jewels and magic lost to man have fallen between the cracks in the world than you can imagine. Who better to retrieve it than a band of stalwart heroes? You and your friends are those heroes. You go where others can’t or won’t. There are monstrous things lurking in the world. Are you ready to face them?" You can find some resources like class sheets on the official homepage . People that never played a roleplaying game are definitely welcome! This beginners guide to Dungeon World is totally worth a read and will give you great insight on how the game mechanics work together, so please make sure to check it out if you are not familiar with the Apocalypse Engine or roleplaying games in general. Lets get into the scheduling of things. I would like to hold sessions on either Saturdays or Sundays, since there is always free time on weekends. These sessions will last anywhere from 3 to 4 hours, obviously with some snack breaks. I can host sessions anywhere within the time span of 2 PM - 10 PM. My timezone is CEST and somewhat US friendly, if the game is hosted somewhere in the evening. Dungeon World is not designed for many people playing at once, so I will take 3 to 4 players total. To round things up I will let you know a little bit about myself. I am 28 years old and have played roleplaying games for a couple of years now, even hosting a show on YouTube at some point. Systems I played or ran include Apocalypse World, Dungeon World, D&D, Pathfinder, Beyond the Wall along a couple of other lesser known ones. Shows like Rollplay and Critical Role are a great inspiration to me and really define the kind of games I like to run. Tone and rules that support the roleplaying aspect are really important to me, I do not run generic games where anything goes and breaks the immersion. That being said I am hard but fair GM that wants to see characters grow, struggle and then cheer like a fan for them when they made it out in one piece. Please respond here in the thread with any questions, or shoot me a personal message if I caught your interest. Can't wait to meet you and play to find out what happens! I should add that we will be using Discord for text/voice communication, had a great experience with it in the past and would like to continue that road! TL;DR: I want to host Dungeon World sessions on weekends, anywhere between 2 PM - 10 PM CEST which will last for 3 to 4 hours.
