Hey all! New player here! I've read the rules and watched and listened to lots of playtime and want to jump headlong into this! Unfortunately I am having trouble finding a group I may have a friend that would join but time may vary. Looking to make this happen Saturday Aug 6 around 9am? could move that slightly. System: DND 5e, or 4e Setting Any. No real preference. Time zone: EST But I have a character I've made up I think would work at http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=897904 Any help is appreciated! thanks!
What system you want to play, what setting you are looking for, what time zone you are in. All of these might be helpful for you to find what you are looking for.
charactr sheet is 5th edition. but the rest of Gary M information would help.

I have purchased 5e starters set and player handbook. IDK what setting means. I assume online for the convenience? I have great microphone and cam. I'm in EST timezone.

The setting is just what the game world is. Is it going to be part of a published setting like Forgotten realms, Greyhawk, or a homebrewed game world which is created by the GM usually. There are pro and con to either type of setting (published or homebrewed) but that discussion is not for this forum.
