RP: From Silver to Stone (continuation of the statue problem)

RP intended for EKRU, DUX, VALTYR and WEASEL After returning safely to haven, the party is met with the problem of having Silver as a statue.Tarville, the 5th member of the party, was kind enough to pay 500GP for the revival of Silver but this ofcourse does not solve the problem in itself. Tarville then went back to the Vale and the remaining members of the party are left at the docks with a very lifelike statue and 500gp, but also 3 basilisk eyes. They need to decide what to do with them.
Dux points out to the group that we have 250 gold waiting for us at the white horses, split 5 ways, that is 50 gold each, with Silver also getting a cut. He then postulates that they could sell the basilisk eyes and add that gold, and Silvers 50 gold to the 500 Tarville gave us, to further the chances of someone taking the time and risk of getting Silver restored to himself.
Weasel smiles: "Well now master Dux, it seems as if u had given this some serious tought. I do wonder kind sir who will go and sell these basilisk eyes, since not all of us have acces to the upper city. And where would we be talking master silvers statue? Do u know of anybody in this town that is capable of doing these kinda things? No, dont get me wrong i don't mean to disrespect u, but it seems we have ourselves a rather strange situation. Now I for one do have acces to the upper city, and if u would all allow it, i'd be happy to go and talk to the alchemist to see if he has a good price for these eyes, or perhaps even a cure for petrification. But the least i'd want in return is my investment in Carver back, remember, the 10GP i provided so we could all benefit from his service. If u see this fit a price then i would gladly take it upon me to go and talk to the alchemist. That is of course if we are all in agreement."(rolls a 16 on persuasion roll made in general chat) Weasel looks all the members in the eyes and try to be as calm yet confident as he can be.
Vâltyr speaks up, folded hands and elbows resting on the table: "On the basilisk question i agree with you Weasel, we, or if the others refuse... I will refund your investment in Carver as it seems only fair if you could find this alchemist and ask him about the basilisk eyes. You have given me reason to trust you, so i will continue to do so. A cure for the petrification, even if its a potion that only helps if taken soon after the victim has been petrified would be very useful. If nothing else should help us in the future as we know the rough location of the basilisk lair, and i intend to return there at some point. Onto the more complicated problem of Mr. Silver... Tarville mentioned a Ebbrard or Ebborard i am unsure as to this persons exact name, nevertheless Tarville told me to see this person as they might be able to help Silver. Failing that i intend to make a petition to his majesty the true emperor for aid, not neccessarily curing Silver himself but he might be able to point us in the right direction without taking up much of his time. On the subject of the money i agree with Dux on almost every point, the bag of 500 gold and Silver's cut of the 250gold, ammounting to 550 of the gold is saved for the attempt to cure Mr. Silver. I suggest that if the basilisk eyes are sold we split the money, again five ways, but i do not expect everyone to throw in their part of the bounty to save Silver. This should be up to each member of the group. We cannot even be sure that Silver will be returned to his living breathing self just by throwing enough gold at him." Vâltyr looks around the table, inviting anyone who has anything else to add to speak up now or we are going ahead with the plan as proposed.
Weasel looks at Valtyr and starts laughing: " Well now where could we find this master ebbrard? I guess u never heard of him since he and the alchemist are one and the same person. His name is Everade and he lives up in the big part of town. That's why i suggested i'd talk to him and try make him see if i could get him to take a look at Silver. U know what, i'll even drop the 10GP from u since u are a very funny man. I'm quite satisfied with the compensation the horsies are paying us and i'd only be coming across like a greedy bastard if none of u plan on making a lot of money on this. Well now mister Valtyr, the only thing left to decide apparantly is who we want to sent to mister Everade. He's not the easiest of persons to talk to i heard so no offense, but i'd rather not see Dux do the talking. And as for u dear sir, as funny as u may be, i dont think the alchemist will have much of interest in your doings. Now Ekru with his magical mojo's might peek his interest but even that i doubt. As for me, i'm merely a charming talker and quite the merchant, so if u want gold worth the trouble, i'd be able to secure this for u. Only problem is gonna be taking Silver up to the upper city, but i guess if we put him somewhere in a safe place in the lower city that'll do for now? If any of u guys have a better idea i'd be all ears. I know i ask a lot of u guys by letting u give me all the money and the eyes, but i think i can do this for master Silver, and i promise u i'll try to make the best deal possible with master Everade."
Out of RP: By the way, did we also brought back some of the basilisk guts, blood or anything? or did we use it all up. I dont know since i was gone a bit before ending it (after we found out about the Xorn) So i'm not sure what we brought back to haven

Basilisk guts certainly remain, as does blood
" I should take all the basilisk guts and blood and stuff too seeing as Tarville and ecru seemed quite into making depertification out of that. And seeing as we payed carver for 5 days and only have been adventuring for 4 he could come along to deliver all that.and if dux and his donkey could help carrying silver close to the gates of the upper city that be realy helpfully. "
"Well thank you for clearing that up, it makes sense Tarville would be talking about the alchemist, but i was of the impression that a cure made from basilisk blood had to be applied within a very short ammount of time to be effective, but i might'v be wrong again. If the lengths i will go to in order to save Silver is amusing to you. It is simply a lesson i learned while sailing under the emperors flag. Friends and reputation will save your life more often than gold. I also view anyone who stands and fights with me as friends, so i view you as a friend. Thus despite your name i've decided to trust you. This combined with Tarville spesifying that the gold be used to save Silver it is not mine to take, neither is Silvers part of the cut. For these reasons i would let you and Ekru go se this Everade, i am merely curious how you intend to get Ekru access? Nonetheless, i will concede i dislike how little i will be able to affect the result of your next venture, but i will help in any way i can." Vâltyr then turns his gaze from Weasel to Dux, then to Ekru, wanting to hear their opinion.
Dux smashes his hands down on the table. "Of course I'd bring him, I have never been one to leave a man behind" He shrugs and looks to the sky, "And I'm not all that bothered about money, that's not why I'm here. Any servant of the Empire is valued, even someone like Silver. Therefor we must try our best to get him back, in the name of the Empire, the White Emperor, and Sol, may he bless our cause. " He fall silent after speaking so much in one go.
Ekru smile's '' iam curious how you intended to get me access to the upper city, but i will take on my finest cloths i have. Think i was realy close to safe Silver, but it was to soon after the battle so i culd not muster my toughts well'' after a brife moment '' we all are friends here, so i am sure all of us  like to get Silver back''
"It is settled then." Vâltyr looks over adressing both. "I will bring you the basilisk eyes and the sack of gold, then assist Dux getting Silver on Lancelot. Good luck on the path." Vâltyr reaches into his backpack and hands Weasel a sack and a folded cloth, then gets up indicating Dux come with him to get Silver.
Weasel just smiles ear to ear and says.well since none of u seems interested in money îd be happy to receive the full reward for the mission  and those eyes. Let me make some preparations and meet me back here in a few hours. There is something I need to pick up from my dorm at the black lion. I'll be back as soon as I can.
Vâltyr signals Weasel to halt. "I believe you misunderstand, i intend to take my 50gp share of the mission reward, because as of right now i have fewer coin than i have fingers on one hand, i am giving you the 500gp we recieved as a loan from Tarville, and Silvers 50gp share of the reward, in addition to the basilisk eyes. I expect you to leverage your claimed skill as a merchant and talker and expect whatever money is left from this endevour, if successfull to be returned to repay Tarville."
Weasel just grins and says: " I'm just busting your balls a bit, with all of u talking so high and mighty about taking the noble road, not wanting money and so. I'm more of a practical man, but i understand the virtue of being amongst friends. Don't worry i'll do the best i can with wath i have and Ekru as my witness. As for now i'll take my leave and see what i can get arranged."
After a few hours the rest of the group sees Weasel return to them wearing very fancy garments, jewelry and whatnot. they almost dont recognize him as he walks in: " Look, before we go, i want to make clear that whatever u hear about me, i want your word wich u all value so high that nothing u hear or see about me will leave your lips. I don't like to show off this side of me and i'd appreciate it if these things about me wouldn't become common knowledge. Don't worry i'm not asking u to cover for me in a bad way, it's just that i keep my nickname for a reason ok. Oh and please do play along when needed, but don't talk if nothing is asked." Assuming that all agree to these terms and swear to not talk about what would happen from here on Weasel would head towards the upper city gates with Ekru and Dux in his wake and approach one of the city guards.
"If you do not betray my trust in any way my honour will benefit you as well, this i promise." Vâltyr tells Weasel as he leaves, before he is left alone with his thoughts, wondering if this is a moment he will look back on with pride or regret.
" Hello good sir", he'd greet the guard at the doorway " The name's W illiam E veret A lexander the third of house SEL onor, a well known trade noble house from back home in Valmar. ( he shows his signet ring) I have come here to this wonderfull place to conduct some buiseness with a man named Everade. I have been told that he is quite gifted in the world of dealing with certain problems so If u would be so kind as to see that me and my servant (pointing to ekru) are pointed in the right direction that would be much appreciated. Here are my papers to conduct buiseness in this part of town, and as u can see(pointing to Silver and Dux) The buiseness is rather urgent. So if u could be of service kind sir, the house of Selonor will remember that."

Right you are Sir; your papers are in order. Go on up, but please be out by curfew; this writ is only valid today twixt the hours of dawn and dusk. The Upper City is a marvel of white stone buildings, grand palaces and Imperial architecture, gardens and wide boulevards connected by ornate squares decorated with fountains or statues. No-where is there any sign of the degradation so common in the lower city; and no sign of the open sewers either. Guards and servants in gaudy liveries rush to and fro and there is a air of tranquility. Your search for Everade is a short one as his shop is down a narrow lane and is easily found by asking directions. Inside a cluttered shop full of curios, old statues and odd bric a brac you find an irascible old man mixing potions at a long table near the back wall. As soon as he sees the 'statue' of Silver he says So; another petrification! Either that or the stone-carvers have taken to portraying frightened warriors in their spare time! Well unless you have brought me some reagents you are wasting your time! What was it; Basilisk? They brought a White Horse in just a week ago. Poor fellow had been to that awful place Makra the silly sausage. There was not a thing I could do since none of these so called warriors had the brains to bring me any of the beast's guts, even thought they killed it! But what can you expect.
Weasel smiles: "oh if it is guts u need to solve this little predicament it is guts ùll receive" and he puts the sack of guts and blood and whatnot on the table." And u are completely correct about the reason and the place. I can see we dido not waste our time coming here. Would these remains of two basilisk be enough to make what is needed to return our young friend here back into flesh and bones?" Weasel makes sure that he keeps the eyes separate and out of sight for the time being.  "And since we are on the topic anyway. Would u know of ways to counter or undo this state as it happens. Or even prevent it?

Everade looks at Weasel from under hooded eyes and grasps the sack. There are no guarantees you understand; your friend is likely too far gone? The oil I can produce can also be drunk immediately before seeing these foul creatures, or even in the midst of transformation and will aid in the prevention of this malady. It can also reverse petrification for up to one hour after someone is turned to stone because the process starts from the outside and works inwards and is not complete for up to one hour.  If the oil is spread over the stone skin it can reverse petrification in it's early stages. In the case of your friend, I will be honest there is not much chance of my oil working on him. You would be better paying me to make a potion or two to ensure no others share your friend's fate. If you truly wish to save your friend, I suggest you take him to the Temple of Sol and ask for counsel. Was he devout? Did he worship any Gods? They are his best bet now; but you had better harden your hearts. Few who suffer this fate are ever returned to the land of the living. If you truly wish to save him you may have to take him to the Avatars of Khulican; I heard they once returned a member of the Red Dragons to life after petrification. But they will ask a boon to be sure and I have no idea what that might be. Anyway; I will mix these potions up and you can try if you must. You wait half a day until the shadows are lengthening as Everade, cursing to himself in a dozen languages, extracts a yellowish fluid from the stomach and concentrates it. He then adds various components including lime to the solution to create a chalky looking fluid. I have completed my alchemy. If the stomachs you brought me were fresh then these two potions can be used as I directed. If you like you can spread one over your friend now and see if it restores him, though I warn you there is very little chance. That will be 100 gp for creating these two. If you manage to get any more Basilisk stomachs then I would be interested in purchasing them. OOC: the potions grant advantage on Con saves against being turned to stone if taken up to 1 hour before or during transformation. Once transformed, the potion can be used an oil and spread over someone who has already been transformed and grants an additional Con save (without advantage). If applied within one hour the DC for reversion is 12; if applied after this time it is 20. The person's Con modifier and prof bonus count in all these saves.
Weasel looks at the alchemist and thanks him. He then pulls out the basilisk eyes. He drops the three eyes on the table and tells the alchemist that he heard ghats he was interested in buying those. After talking price weasel will sell them to the man. From what is left in earnings Weasel will take 10 gp for himself. When the potions are given and the deal is made he goes back to lower town and in a quiet spot he'll give ecru the sack with gold (500 from Tarville and the earnings from the basilisk eyes min us his cut and one potion. He tells Ekru. "Make sure it is known that weasel is a man of his word. I told u I would get u in Upper town and I would do all I could for silver. Well here is where my limits lie. gold and silver I understand but gods are not up my alley. But I think I honoured our agreement. I will keep this potion for myself as payment for my time and effort for as u must know I did needed to spend some to get us in there. But the second potion you can have to try on silver. If you wouldn't mind I will now return to the lions tavern and go drink a bit. I've had enough. Oh he ads with a very dark glimmer in his eyes and I hope you will keep your end of our agreement and that name u heard at the gate has already disappeared from your mind. For if I ever hear it from anyone else in this town I will make sure it has consequences. I don't like my title or my name and so Weasel is the only name I want other adventurers to know. But I trusted you all in this and my trust earned is gained. For now farewell and take care of those things. I do wonder if you would get something done with that. It was at the very least interesting. Weasel disappears after that leaving Ekru with the gold and one potion and a statue."

Everade regards you and says Hmm; I had assumed you were some flunky of this noblemen. Am I right in thinking that you are not his retainer? If so then give this chit to the guards and I will come down and vouch for you. Good Day! Everade looks at Weasel Ah they are not these rare these days, are they? Well... I'll still make you a good price since you also brought the guts, 60gp each, how does that sound to you?
Deal.

'' i thank you mr Everade i will take the chit. as i am not always in his service'' since i left alone with the statue. i will ask some folks around to carry the statue to the inn where the rest of the gang awaits
After what feels like hours of waiting at the Red Dragon Vâltyr finally sees Ekru walk into the tavern. "Tok you long enough friend, how did you fare? i see you are still carrying a significant ammount of money so either this Everade was unable to help or he didn't want money in return. I bought you a drink some time ago, have a seat and tell me what you learned."
''aah Vâltyr,  thanks ill tell you everything Everade said''  after explaining what happend and what Everade said.  '' that just leav the 70g to be split and a potion''
Vâltyr looks up, looking relieved. "Finally, was getting worried. Seems Weasel is a man of his word, that is good to know. On the subject of the leftovers, i suggest i take 20gp and the potion, leaving you two with another 25gp each. Any objections to this?" Vâltyr looks up and at his two companions, a stern determined look on his face.
''well since it tok 50g per potion to make,  ill agree on 30gp each and you get 10g + the potion?''
"Agreed"
