When? Played weekly on Sundays. 5pm CT (GMT-5) typical start time. 4+ hour session length. Applicants to our game will be primarily considered based on their Sunday hours of availability . Special consideration may be granted to applicants who list their other hours of availability. Technical Requirements Audio required. We use Discord (mainly) and Skype (as backup). We use push-to-talk, but a quality microphone is valued. Video preferred. Special consideration may be granted to applicants who express interest in using a webcam. Other Expectations Mature Content(18+). A tolerance of off-color humor is expected. What reliability means to us. Applicants are expected to be able to play during the time range(s) specified within their application. Applicants are also expected to make a strong effort in identifying future absences and letting our GM know of them in advance. Accountability. Please note that our GM reserves the right to reverse the invitation of any players who repeatedly fail to demonstrate reliability. Games are expected to proceed as scheduled regardless of some absences. Characters of absent players may or may not gain experience or otherwise advance. Character creation Your character will start at level 4. Your creativity is encouraged. Feel welcome to request permission to use content from Unearthed Arcana and the GMs Guild, or use the content our GM has already approved. You have five other party members. Aarakocra Paladin, Gnome Wizard, Half-Elf Bard, Tiefling Ranger, Water Genasi Druid—the party has its bases covered, so please create whatever you want to play! Heavily homebrewed Items. Powerful homebrew weapons (including firearms) and magical items may be found and possibly crafted. Feats. We have adapted several feats from the Player's Handbook to complement firearm users. Organized documentation. Homebrewed content and houserules are documented within Handouts within our Journal's folder structure. A setting at sea About us. An unlikely crew and their captain traversing the Trackless Sea, exploring and exploiting what we run across. Steampunk-ish. A balance of Faerûn and firearms. Exploration. One of the heavy focuses of our campaign, alongside a balance of roleplay and rollplay. For more information, please see our LFG Listing . Making the most of Roll20 A learning experience. We all have various levels of proficiency with D&D 5E and Roll20, but expertise in both can be found between us. Those new to D&D 5E and/or Roll20 are very welcome! API scripts. Feel free to introduce us to your favorite scripts or simply enjoy the scripts that we're currently using. Marketplace assets. We implement some of the many excellent premium map and token assets from the Roll20 Marketplace. Jukebox music . Exploration is fueled with ambiance by Tabletop Audio. Combat seems to be accompanied by alt rock and hardstyle. Feel free to propose a playlist on Soundcloud! 5e Shaped Character Sheet. Special consideration may be granted to applicants who PM me a join link to a game containing their would-be Character (using this Character Sheet). Please add "All Players" to the In Player's Journals and Can Be Edited & Controlled By fields of this Character. (We would Vault this Character over to our game.) Applying Please submit applications to our game as a reply to this thread or as a Private Message to myself, at your preference. At minimum, please answer the following questions within your application: 1. How many hours are you able and willing to dedicate to this game immediately before and immediately after the typical start time of a session? Please frame your answer as a time range in terms of Central Time (GMT-5). - 2. What do you think of the sentence "I expect players to always show up on time or to always inform the group prior to any absences" ? - 3. What appeals to you most about this campaign, or what are you looking forward to experiencing? - 4. What's one thing that you would like our GM to take away from a glance at your Roll20 profile? - 5. Is there anything else that you would like to know about our campaign (or group)? - All who apply in this manner should expect to receive a PM back from me. When our final spot has been filled, this thread will be updated accordingly.
Thank you to all those who applied! All of the spots in our group have been filled.
