Note - We will be using Skype for voice chat(required), as well as crocodoc (see 2nd post for details) for character sheets. This will be a copy of my existing Caves of Chaos campaign variation. It takes place in my homebrew world of Asfalorn (and is party of a larger series I am building). Players with some D&D Next experience preferred, however if everyone makes an honest effort to signup and download the D&D Next latest packet off of Wizards of the Coast site and reads through the How to Play we should be good. I say honest effort since we can't afford to waste too much time explaining everything to everyone otherwise we probably won't finish, so please be courteous if you have no intentions of learning the rules as well as you can ahead of time. (within reason, not expecting line number responses where things can be found, just hoping everyone is ready to go rules wise). If you have ANY questions about rules please don't hesitate to ask, I will be more than glad to give my understanding on it. I have been playing D&D Next for a few months now, and am looking to give myself a glimpse of my Caves of Chaos variation for my Sunday group that will be playing their 3rd session of it. As such I am going to try to keep the party focused and moving at a brisk pace. This campaign I could easily see running for 20+ hours, I am looking to get it to 9ish or less. I think it can be done. The campaign will be listed tonight in the evening (Eastern time), and the first 6 qualified that get their character information(full character sheet) submitted and approved will be accepted. I will post the Asfalorn world information in the LFG thread so players will have all of the information they will need to create their background. (a few paragraphs?? It isn't too long) I am hoping we get a full party of 6 approved by Thursday. I will also be posting an introduction which I will read at the start of the session, but it will be available to everyone beforehand and would be appreciated if everyone could read it. (again isn't that long) I will be aiming for 1PM Eastern to 10PMish(earlier if possible). I am looking for players that will be at least available for that whole time(please be honest), we will take short breaks accordingly for food, etc. If we have to and are close, we may go past 10PM to finish up. (if we aren't mostly done by 10PM I may just call it) EDIT - Forgot to mention, this campaign will be running with dynamic lighting, so players interested in that, might peek your interest. I feel it helps with the immersion and I love it in all of the campaigns I am in. Also Note - There may be casualties, don't expect that everyone will make it. If the possibility of failure (for your character/party) upsets you, This isn't the campaign for you. That said there are ample opportunities for players to rejoin as a backup character. Making a backup character(s) is completely optional(must be done ahead of time and approved) and being able to play your backup character will be "happen" (if it happens) according to the story. I do reward creativity, and I share experience to the entire party. The expectations is for the characters to be able to get from level 1 up to about 4 by the end.
