Any groups for utter noobs?

I've always wanted to get into tabletop gaming(specifically, DnD). Unfortunately, I know pretty much nothing about it. Are there any groups that meet about once per week, that one could get into knowing literally nothing of the game, or am I doomed to find some real friends to learn together with?
i hear ya, i have been reading up on pathfinder but can't find someone to play with, if you find a group it would be nice if u would let me know.
I run a Basic D&D game on Skype (no video) that runs on Saturdays from 8am-Noon MST. Both of my contigious players have been playing D&D for about 3 months at best. So my game is very beginner friendly, and is a game (in the vein of D&D of yore: Above Average People who go Explore Dangerous Places and whose Story is Told at the Table. If you're interested PM me.
If you'd like a basic introduction to the game so you can go into a group with a bit better understanding of the fundamentals then you'll be happy to know I've started running tutorial games to introduce new players to roleplaying and Pathfinder (basically 3rd edition DnD with a few simplifications) on Saturdays to help build a more robust player base on roll20. Look for a game called RPG 101 on Saturday if you're interested. It'll be open to the public so even if you don't get a spot you can still watch and learn some things.
