Hi, Shawn. If I understand your question correctly, you can't actually attach a token to a character sheet quite the way you're describing. Once a token is on a page, you can go into the token settings and assign it as being a specific character, but you can't actually go into the character sheet and attach a token to *it*. If that makes any sense! In other words, you can't attach a token to a character sheet and then just drag it from the sheet to the page. Though this has been suggested multiple times as something that people would like to be able to do.
I've taken to making a starting page which has some nice pictures on it and put the tokens I want to use for all my PCs on it. Then, I set all the tokens up the way my players wanted (assigned each as being a specific character, attached attributes to the different bars, etc.) so I could simply go to that page, copy the tokens, and then go and paste them into other pages when I needed to. I've also got an NPC/Monster page as well (that the players don't see, of course).
You might find this section of the help files useful for working with tokens: http://help.roll20.net/tabletop-tokens/
The dropdown that says "Represents Character" is how you assign it as being a specific character.
