A bit of help learning

Hello I was just wondering if anyone was around at the current moment who is skilled at working rolld20. I've figured out a lot of it myself but have a few questions. If anyone is around would be greatly appreciated.

In case someone isn't available, I'd recommend posting your questions on this thread here. It might be easier for people to come drive-through a forum post and answer your questions that way. Also, there's also our help documents to get you on your feet too.
Thanks Kristin. My question pertained to how do I add a token to a specific character? So that when I go to a different (page/map) I can drag their token to the map or the token to their character on the side bar??
Hi, Shawn. If I understand your question correctly, you can't actually attach a token to a character sheet quite the way you're describing. Once a token is on a page, you can go into the token settings and assign it as being a specific character, but you can't actually go into the character sheet and attach a token to *it*. If that makes any sense! In other words, you can't attach a token to a character sheet and then just drag it from the sheet to the page. Though this has been suggested multiple times as something that people would like to be able to do. I've taken to making a starting page which has some nice pictures on it and put the tokens I want to use for all my PCs on it. Then, I set all the tokens up the way my players wanted (assigned each as being a specific character, attached attributes to the different bars, etc.) so I could simply go to that page, copy the tokens, and then go and paste them into other pages when I needed to. I've also got an NPC/Monster page as well (that the players don't see, of course). You might find this section of the help files useful for working with tokens: http://help.roll20.net/tabletop-tokens/ The dropdown that says "Represents Character" is how you assign it as being a specific character.
Sarah Thank you for getting back to me so fast..especially on christmas eve. You were right about what I was asking about. I did find the info in the help documents Kristin linked me to. It does seem like it would be really nice to be able to attach them to the characters. Either way thank you for answering my question. Happy holidays
You are very welcome, Shawn! Happy Holidays to you too!
