GM For Hire [Looking For Players/Groups/Tutees]

For all the players or groups looking for a GM, I am here to offer my time and effort to fulfill what you may happen to be looking for. I've been leading tabletop games as a DM/GM/AM/FM/EtcM for over ten years, and participating in such games for nearly another ten on top of that. I feel myself pretty experienced when it comes to learning systems, establishing the needed elements to run campaigns both premade and self-generated, and the many other tools required by someone who wishes to lead a group through their ventures and shenanigans. I'm a flexible sort of GM, I listen to what the group is looking for and adapt what knowledge I have at my disposal in order to create the best experience I can for them. It doesn't matter if it is a one-shot or a full-blown campaign which could last for years, I look forward the actions and reactions of the players I lead through the worlds of their choosing or my making. However, I believe that most of you wish for me to get to the meat of the matter. I'm offering my dedicated time to the open points of my schedule for groups who are looking to have a GM run a campaign or game in a system of their choosing and have assurance in their attendance ahead of time along with a certain level of quality. Additionally, I will also be allowing those who wish to learn the ropes of a system in the Roll20 interface and the necessary skills to run future games of their own. Below are the systems I have run as a GM, I know of more than on the list as a player and would be willing to pick up on others as long as I can find the resources for it. I have ranked the following systems by familiarity, breaking them down by their major game and then editions/related games under the same system: 1. Pathfinder , Dungeons and Dragons [5e, 3.5e] 2. Fantasy AGE [Titansgrave] 3. Cypher System [Numenera, Gods of The Fall, The Strange] , Dungeons and Dragons [4e] 4. Dungeon Crawl Classics , Godbound , d20 Modern 5. Shadowrun [4e] , World of Darkness [Vampire: The Masquerade] TLDR: Experienced GM offering to be paid to run games and/or tutor players who wish to become GMs. I look forward to any of those who would like to ask me any questions or clarify anything I have spoken of in this post, I attempt to check my PMs frequently and am always on the lookout for those who are in need of a steady GM in the forums. And as per the Roll20 Code of Conduct , below is the disclaimer: “ This game will require payment for my time as a Game Master at a rate of $10 per game session hour. Be advised that payment will occur off site via PayPal or eTransfer and cannot be enforced by the Roll20 staff. ”
What games or system would you say are your strongest when dealing with rules as written.
Mal, Definitely a very good question, I'll give you a PM on the exact specifics of that. -Rocky
Interesting concept. It will certainly make the players show up, I always believe free tends to make folks take things for granted.
Warren, I wouldn't exactly put it like that. For me, it seems there are plenty of individuals and groups who are looking for a GM, a position which most do not wish to undertake due to the time it can take to lead a game and do all the behind the scenes work. So, by the economics of supply and demand, the concept is an entirely possible venture, though it has been a struggle lately, believe you me. I have a personal policy to get character creation done before the first session to fall outside of my payment requirement and as part of a show of good faith. Essentially, I have time which a group or individual can reserve and I put my best effort to give them the experience they happen to be looking for. I look forward to anyone who shows interest and always open to discussion, my inbox is always open for questions and explanations. I will probably be updating the initial message to include a list of quickly available systems I am adept at, so everyone can see if they want something immediate at a glance or ask me if I have heard of a system not on said list. Game on. -Rocky
Do you have Thursday nights available and do you GM pathfinder?
Daniel B., I do happen to have Thursday nights available, and Pathfinder is among my strongest systems both known and played. You may PM me with about what you and/or your group happen to be looking for. -Rocky
I always wondered if it is 10$ per person per hour or just per hour. If so then players can divide it among themselves and if there are 5 people it could be a pretty affordable price of 2$ per session hour. I don't see this written anywhere and maybe that could clear up some if you added it.
If I am not mistaken, it's $10 per hour, at least that was my understanding after PMing Rocky.  So ya, it's not bad if there are people willing to split it.

A reminder to folks: Keep commentary on-topic or risk have it being deleted.  On-topic in LFG is honest questions by users trying to determine if the game-offer is right for them.
Brother Sharp, I suppose I may need to change my wording when I update my post next, but Daniel B. would be correct. I ask for $10 per hour of the game session, regardless of the player count or the hours I put in before the session begins. Hopefully this clears up the question of that issue. -Rocky
As promised, I have edited the main post in a couple places to add some more detail for any future readers. Hopefully this will clear up some inconsistencies and I look forward to hearing back from any interested parties, either in this thread or by PM. Game on, Roll20 Community!
