Dynamic lighting not seen by my players

I setup a map with dynamic lighting, turned on fog of war, then gave the token for the PC with a torch light 25 ft and checked all players can see. on my view I could see the dynamic light but all the players were just seeing darkness on their screens. I tried to have them log off and back on to Roll20 and I toggled on and off features but nothing changed the fact they couldn't see any dynamic lighting effects. we are using firefox 16.0.2 on windows 7 PCs and laptops.
You have to give them control of the tokens as well.

You should not need to give control of the tokens for them to be able to see that lightsource. Checkmarking that all of the players can see is sufficient. Do you have Fog of War turned on? If you do then they will not be able to see the areas covered by FoW. I sometimes forget to clear the FoW in areas and wonder why my players cannot see things. LOL - Gauss
When I turn fog of war off I get a message that says if I don't have fog of war on I can't hide anything, it then suggests I turn it on. sure sounds like it has to be on. Also yes the players had control of their tokens, didn't seem to matter
Oh duh... you would need to reveal the area the player tokens were in to allow the dynamic lighting to show through.
sorry still not getting it. If I turn off fog of war my players can see everything. If I turn it off they can see nothing. Kind of missing how to set this up so they only see what their adaptive light shows them.
Sorry meant when I turn it on they see nothing
If you set your page settings as the following, they should only see a 25' circle around their tokens.

When Fog of War is on you need to clear sections of it manually using the reveal tool. This is to prevent players from seeing those areas. The reveal tool can be found on the toolbar on the left side of the map. Here are your available combinations: Fog of War (FoW): Players cannot see areas that are covered by FoW. Use the reveal tool to reveal specific areas. Dynamic Lighting (DL): Players cannot see areas that do not have lightsources set for them. To set a lightsource you either set it to 'all players' or you set a specific player to control it. You will need to draw barriers to the light on the Dynamic Lighting layer. Note: if you are playing a game with things like Darkvision and Low-light vision I can also explain how to mimic those abilities using Dynamic Lighting. Fog of War and Dynamic Lighting combined: In order to see an area that area must be cleared of FoW AND they must have a light source set so they can see it. How to use both FoW and Dynamic Lighting together for maximum control: 1) Checkmark Fog of War and Dynamic (you can checkmark update on drop if you desire, I dont). 2) Draw lines on the Dynamic Lighting layer. These lines block light 3) Place lightsources on the token layer. 4) Turn Fog of War on. 5) When players are about to go into a new area, clear the Fog of War for that area using the reveal tool. 6) When players open a door, go to the Dynamic Lighting layer and remove the 'door' light barrier. I hope this helps. - Gauss
