Date: 33rd of the Month of Quickern, 987 - The 7th Year of Octavin's Reign It had been a couple of days since Jewels had returned from a trip to the Fey Isles, she'd had no real interest in working for the companies since washing up in Haven at the myst tide last year but her funds had run dry and alternative methods of securing currency didn't quite meet her fancy. She'd gotten some pay for her troubles alright, but had also gotten a whole lot more troubles to go with it and for some reason, despite her hardest efforts trying to drink and carouse them away, they burned afresh in her mind each time she saw the bottom of the tankard. " Ah cannae fucken take it nemore! " She declared half way through a plate of greasy eggs and sausage that took the edge off a throbbing hang over. A couple silver dropped onto the table from her purse and she bundled herself out of the establishment with haste, striding down havens streets with a fury in her. She might have only been a little over four and a half feet tall but had a wiry brawn born of dwarven descent, not to mention she carried an enormous flail that menaced with spikes. It was enough to keep the thugs and pickpockets from messing with her, especially on such a chilly spring day when there were easier and less fiesty looking marks. Some time later Jewels had arrived in the Westgate area, at the large jumble of buildings in which one of Haven's "Ten Companies" made its chapter house. She went to the public entrance where a large sign hung proclaiming it the "Unicorn Inn" and made her way inside. Within she looked around at the relaxed patrons and members, for a moment she fidgeted with the long braid that draped over her right temple - her hair was the colour of burnished copper and she had the habit of keeping the sides cut close. Then she clambered up onto a table and proclaimed loudly; " Alright there, mah name's Jewels. From what ah've herd of yoo lot I got an issue that yer might be intrested in, an I'll work nee bother for yers too if'n yoo'll look into it. Who's here who can speak to me 'bout that, or show me to some big shot who can, aye? "
