Hi everyone. I am looking to start a Numenera campaign. Let me explain who am I and what kind of players I am looking for. Also about the campaign. About me: - I have about 15 years of roleplaying experience, mostly as GM. I only got a bit of experience running Numenera and I am still learning it. I never ran any session over internet and my only experience with roll20 is what I been tinkering so far. - I have mostly run different versions of D&D (and other d20 fantasy systems) but also have some experience with old and new WoD, d20 Modern, Star Wars Saga Edition and some home made systems (not my own) based on d6. - I am not a native English speaker but my command of English is good and I have spent 1 year living in Northern Ireland a few years ago. My skill in speaking English is a bit rusty by now but nothing that will not come back to me after a few sessions. The bigger problem is.. - I have only ever run one session in English. I have no clue how good of a GM I will be when running sessions in English although I am sure I will improve in time - I live at +1 GMT timezone and sessions will mostly be run during evenings in my timezone. - I can run any kind of campaign and anything goes as long as nobody is offended and it is all in good fun for EVERYONE in the group (READ: I don't like players that backstab other players). I don't like to run combat heavy campaigns or spending more time with numbers then playing the game (it is why I now prefer Numenera over other systems) - I consider myself a fair GM that does not use this hobby to feed my Ego (you can tell I had the "pleasure" to play under Ego feeding GMs) but to tell an interactive story together with the players What I expect from players: - decent command of English and an ability to speak in a way that others will understand you. I know some people have a strong accents and I expect those to not be annoyed when others repeatedly ask them to repeat what they said but more slowly :) - I don't care if you got previous experience with Numenera or other systems, just that you are enthusiastic about playing and roleplaying. I prefer players that will not do this: be quiet for long times and just roll a few (virtual) dice. - being able to play in evenings once every 1 or 2 weeks, either during weekdays or weekends depending on mutual agreement between everyone, probably between 7 PM (19:00) and 11 PM (23:00) my time (also it will be possible to start earlier on weekends). - I will prefer that at least one player is native English speaker so we as a group can progress faster in our communication, also I would prefer at least one person has some experience with Roll20 so I can learn it faster :) (none of these are prerequisites) - at first the campaign will be webcam optional but eventually it will be webcam required - once I get one and we have a stable group of people that get along well. I strongly feel the quality of sessions is much lower if we leave out body language from roleplaying. - If any of the players has experience with streaming to Twitch they would be welcome to do so, there are only D&D related RP streams there at the moment with extremely rare Star Wars or Shadowrun stream About the campaign: - I would like it to start some time next week, of course if I find enough suitable players. - I will be GMing story of my own creation but I am sure to borrow parts of published adventures here and there if I find them to fit. I have been creating my own stories to GM for whole of my 15 years of experience. - I have already spent a fair amount of time preparing to GM it as close as possible if we were around the table (I have XP deck and Cypher deck ready) About signing up for campaign: - sign up in this topic with as much or little info as you like and expect that I will be wanting to talk to you directly before approval\first session - If I get many people that want to play I will need to do a selection, so don't be mad if you are not chosen. I will not be selecting people by first come, first serve just like I would not in real life. - But if I promise you something, I will keep the promise.
