Better ways for macro aimed FX

Hi everyone! Trying some new custom FX macros added onto my token's spells and abilities and so far it's really cool. Only problem I have is how the SourceID and targetID always refer to the center of a token. Is there a way to add an offset to particles starting position so I can make the /fx generate in a different position relative to the center? How about letting the player free aim the /fx much like the GM can do it with the tool? It's kinda limited to do it only (center of token) to (center of token) any tips or tricks?

Not possible using the /fx command, but the API can do it. I'm not sure if there's an existing script to do what you want, although several scripts exist that utilize the FX system.
I just have a small token near the dragon or other breath weapon user, zip it up by the head and use that as the source of the breath.
