There are three of us that have been dieing to play a good pathfinder game. We want a long term game, we do not really care what adventure path you pick but please give us something to do on Saturday.
I'm actually thinking of running a Saturday Strange Aeons game but I'm waiting for the second book to land, the first book looks like it could run pretty fast. If/When I do start it I am planning on pregenerating the characters to really play up the amnesia bit so the players only get their abilities and will have to learn who/what they were through playing the game.
I love the idea of a CoC Pathfinder game but I want to play a character I made, not something random, otherwise we would love to. I feel like the idea of role-playing is being able to play a character that has Amnesia and limit yourself, not having something forced on you. If you don't mind negotiating the character creation we can get a date set.
The only part of it I'd probably change is letting the players build the mechanics but not the backstory. End of the day you would be playing the character you create. The history is history, starting from a blank slate gives you the chance to define who you are, and dealing with finding out who you were could be a very interesting character moment.
In the looser idea. I'd actually prefer to do it the way I stated the first time that way clues to the history could be hidden in sheet. For example if you were a wizard that had profession (siege engineer) that's be a weird thing. Why do you know how to set up a catapult, when did you need that information? That kind of thing.
