Setting: The world of Illanea was once in a state of Utopia, however in recent times a dragon has corrupted the High Council of the world and the Judges that reside therein of it. Since then, creatures from another plane known simply as the Void have begun springing up randomly all throughout the lands and the world is ever more in a need of Warriors and Saviors. The once great city of Ishgard has fallen to ruin and the once living occupants have been either killed, turned or fled from the city. The world is in ruins as it struggles to recover from the onslaught of seemingly endless hordes of Void Creatures, and evermore it seems the last bastions of hope are being slowly but surely lost or forgotten. Now, In the worlds darkest times, the Gods too have seemingly vanished. Those who once were able to summon unnumerable amount of creatures or use magic have almost all but vanished though there are still some that remain. Revival magicks and items too seem to be malfunctioning, causing ill effects more oft than naught when used. The last three great Bastions of hope, Illiangard, the home city to the Mithra, Lanventru, The newest home city to the Humes, and Mandonia, Mountain City to the Dwarves, are the last places where large groupings of the races can be seen. Mandonia, however, has been recently sealed off to all races outside of the Dwarves as they have placed the blame for the worlds ruin solely on the Humes and refuse to allow anyone except for other Dwarves within their walls. Illiangard has also become more reclusive and selective about who is allowed into their gates, though they allow all races to come and seek safety the once kind-hearted Mithra have, in recent times, begun to shun other races. Lastly, Laventru, Home to most all remaining Humes in the world. This city is by far the largest of the three, standing about 250 miles in circumference. It also has the largest military on the world now as all races that are turned away from the other two cities seek refuge here and all do what they can to protect it. Laventru is difficult to man, however, and much of it's land behind the walls are given up to the farmers to grow food and try to feed everyone. There are minor towns outside of these three cities, though none of them can be dutifully protected and oft go unprotected save for the militia they personally train. There are rumors stirring of a mighty race, one of the ones to have survived the Great War that encompassed the main city of the world Ishgard, The Aegyl's, have been spotted. Many have believed them to have died off during it, But many still claim to have seen them. Nobody knows for certain if these noble Heaven-sent Warriors still exist, but if they do... All races agree, they must be found and protected. The Aegyl's served a powerful role in that War, they were the ones that saw too it the darkness didn't break from the city for as long as it did. It's also believed that the eldest among them is immortal, believed to have been sent by Bahamut himself. PDT Saturday The setting itself takes place in a Final Fantasy-type setting, I also have been including Canon Characters from various games though they're still far and few between. This setting is a more futuristic setting of what it was at one point, however because the party lost so many members I have decided to sort of do a 'restart' of it and move forward in the timeline. The game is set in the Pathfinder era of D&D however it contains its own PDF's, Classes and the link which can be found: Here If you're interested feel free to either post here, PM me or add me on skype.
